The Acolytes of The Lady Grey

Brief Description of Temperaments and Personalities of an Acolyte.

Acolytes range from the newly recruited to those well versed in the knowing of the grey lady. They embody knowledge of The lady and teach her ways and words as they live and breath each day. They are essentially one who has brief knowledge of three main entities- those of scholarly readings of the lady, along with brief aid in healing, and combat abilities in order to defend. In some cases, an acolyte may possess more of one skill than another, and may very well prefer to do so. ​

Priests and Acolytes are generally Neutral to happenings upon the world- War, Peace, and especially Untimely Deaths- The time of Decay is always continuing, and so their focus is on those that pass into the after realms where individual souls are judged based on their actions in life. They are ones who ease the pain of grieving and pass on the understanding that life goes on and ends. .. A cycle of nature wherein death is the Final Judgement. Although a grim fate undeniably awaits all- they carry on and continue living to pass on her knowledge and ways..​

The three schools of learning are established and brushed upon during the young acolyte's timeline and become excruciatingly useful during Priesthood.

Teaching of the Scholar: All Acolytes are required to understand and respect the teachings of the Lady Grey. Her words, her whispers and her presence are honored and respected above all others, be they Pantheon members or Heretical creatures. To those that follow the Lady, their end is all the same.

Teaching of the Healer: The basics of healing are important. How to heal cuts and wounds- to keep cleanliness in mind.

Teaching of Combat: Protecting the isle of the Grey Lady is part of responsibilities of a follower of the Path. They defend the citizens that cannot defend themselves and keep the general peace upon the Isle. The Grand Shrine- as well as Neutral Grounds are also protected in order to “Hold True” to the Divine Law. Alliances that request aid in defense are also noted- though carefully selected to whom they give aid to.

Meddling with the problems of the outer lands and living disputes are discouraged - and are acts of individual pursuits and not of the Ministry as a whole- unless directed and guided by the High Priestess as She or He openly claims it as such. Or done with the majority of Acolytes in active and immediate attendance.

The notable attire of Acolytes are the Grey cloaks they adorn on top of their everyday attires- Symbolizing the Path they have chosen. Few carry blades by their waists, others use their wits as replacement.

Brief Description of Tempraments and Personalities of a Priest/Priestess of the Lady.

Upon Priesthood- A Priest/Priestess can be recognized upon these signs:

Robes of Purple and Grey.

The temperament of a Priest/Priestess is one of contentment and ease. One in this occupation has learned to control tempers of anger, resentment and hatred. They instead show a self-composed figure, although gloomy on occasions of work, would seem well in times of less stress as they grasp at the happier moments of their lives. They tend to avoid and ignite conflicts and learn to soothe them. On rare occasions have settled to resolving conflicts of grander reaches. When in the position of speaker, their words are eloquent and simple- mostly always inclined to speak of the Grey Lady or a version of her ways. They show a form of understanding their opposite speaker when they listen to grief and confessions. They do not disrespect others unless disrespect is shown repeatedly. Forgive until no forgiveness can be shown any longer. A Grey Lady’s Priestess knows when one cannot be salvaged from their sins. .. And they know when one can be shown a brighter side to their wallows.

In Priesthood, an Acolyte advances once they have understood and accepted the path of the Lady Grey. They agree with her portfolio, they dwelve in her teachings, they question others and spread her words. They lead sermons, funerals and rituals to make sure all are aware of the Final Death.. That it can be a peaceful end.. or a fearful end.. and none can escape it.

A Priesthood’s duties are laid out and understood as the Acolyte advances. They are not merely learning, as no one can fully understand everything… They will teach others as they have been taught. They are listening to others as they have in the past. And they live for the Lady and themselves in the present.

.. With understanding.. They accept their fates. Risks, Rewards and Life...

...For a true one in Priesthood.. Final Death is accepted once their destiny and purpose is complete.​
