A perfect representation. Thank you : )

"I do not intend to die if I am not able to laugh and spit in the face of my bane. If such a wish is not to be granted, then I am destined to be immortal."

Virnaak is the rogue you spy in your peripheral, standing beneath an overhang, awaiting the rain's conclusion. He is the tall, spindly vagrant that lurks within the crowd, only to soak in the world around him, rather than be a part of it. He is a leech, a vulture, and a hyena, reeking of dirt-cheap tobacco, foul alcohol, and poor decisions. His clothes are near tatters, dark green vest hanging as open as his unabashed lack of common principle, with a grey cloak to loom over the remainder of his person. His face, in the charred black color it is, seems always discolored by dirt, bruises, or other peculiar shades, with his features narrow and sharp, and the mop of black hair framing his face is a gnarled, brambly nest of beads and braids; a place where birds go to die. Dark purple eyes stare flatly upon most who pass him, often glazed over by what surely is an inappropriate amount of alcohol.
Within the mop of hair he bears, there is one bead that differentiates from the others, carved from wood with intricate detail within. It hangs at the left side of his face.

Currently: Finding family in the Varyn household. He acts as a support pillar in their current ventures toward Divinity.

Full Name: Virnaak Hun'senta
Alignment: Lawful-Chaotic-Good-Evil
Demeanor: Virnaak's demeanor is much less than professional. He is sociable, but is not one prone to actually speaking much, preferring to linger as an audience to the words of others. He seems sometimes the quiet, stoic type, but such an air is as swiftly shattered as the quick flicker of a wide, white-toothed grin that curls his lips. He is often a cavalier sort, speaking of grim word and tale as casually as one might talk of the weather.
Quirks: His Common is broken, due to his lack of knowledge, or lack of care, and he holds Mok'yra in obvious favor. In addition, he actively searches for different things to do, or people to interact with, as he very easily allows himself to stagnate otherwise. Thus, he often is eager to perform odd jobs, or participate in the activities of a group composed primarily of strangers, despite his lack of immediate concern.
Likes: Strangers, handouts, Moors, whiskey, and a decent meal.
Magic and science have grown increasingly interesting to him.
Dislikes: Linlea's citadel, restriction, incompetence.

Objectives:
+ Learn to communicate further in Common.
+ Acquire a confidant or two.
+ Obtain a proper sword.
+ Get the fuck off of Linlea.

+ Witness James and Raalvara succeed.

+ Deliberation.

Samwych
Thank you very much.

RELATIONSHIPS

Cherished
?

Trusted
Vashti Kirmani - A young woman whom he has found to involved in the majority of his day-to-day adventures. The two hold a balanced dynamic of bullying each other, and then uniting under their shared disdain for their current living circumstances. He appreciates her as a companion, and finds that he likely would have already drank himself to death in sheer boredom if it were not for her antics. He holds a particularly deep care for Vashti, and intends to keep the promises he's made at any cost. However, their personalities oppose each other in some regards, and this sometimes is utterly infuriating to Virnaak. Their dynamic conundrum, which has sunk deep and long for some time now, leaves him rather conflicted. He feels a wide range of emotions for wider range of reasons; anger, bitterness, affection, and loneliness. The distance aches. Charybdis
Raalvara Varyn - Raalvara has become a reliable figure in his life for a number of reasons, but primarily in that she has offered him wholesome kindness, faith, and opportunity in the midst of crisis. He feels a quaint comfort in her presence, and a sense of loyalty to her as a comrade. She is considered family to him now, in a subtle sense of the word. Within such consideration lies aspiration for her success, and the flourishing of the family. Raal

Gilligan Kearney - Virnaak did not anticipate growing as close to Gilligan as he did, yet here they stand. Many of their early interactions only occurred because they shared a social circle, but he now sees Gilligan with value, warmth, and a sense of trust. A friend, by all definitions. Samwych

Appreciated
Leofaren Venna - Leofaren has seemed more understandable in the time Virnaak has interacted with him. He enjoys the man's company, and the capacity for kindness he displays. While he is still quite the strange one, he's pretty alright in Virnaak's book. He intends to soak up a few more words from the man. Shankster
Callisto - Another vagrant that Virnaak is easily able to be chummy with. He feels a strange degree of envy for Callisto’s capacity for freedom, and is often amused in his presence through one way or another. juulrip
James Varyn -
James strikes Virnaak as a tragic hero. He has shown only virtue and generosity, and Virnaak respects him for his traits. Simultaneously, there is some sort of sympathy, or pity, within how he perceives James. Hardships weigh heavier and heavier. TheDeester

Rían the Barbarian - An unreliable fire prone to singeing everything and everyone around himself. However, in cold and loneliness, the fire remains appreciated, and perhaps somewhat comforting. FrostGuardian
Ater Impes - Virnaak is not at all certain how thin Ater's line of responsibility stretches, but there are a number of things that bring him to being quite the spectacle. There is a semblance of intrigue in Ater's person, and his company is enjoyable. Magiik

Questionable
Korchek - Virnaak and Korchek both have roots in the same place, and that is a point of both interest and wariness. His paranoia and hot-headed persona makes Virnaak uncomfortable, yet he doesn't necessarily blame the man. He likes Korchek enough to enjoy cards and drinks with him, but an established trust remains far away. Squidziod
Idri - Virnaak likes the bastard, but has very, very low expectations that anything productive will surface from him. At the least, he is an indulgent wildcard. Lannis

Neutral
Lilith - A peculiar sort, but one who certainly knows how to have a good time while also seeming meticulous. She strikes Virnaak as one who could pose great interest if he were to learn more of her. Arcana
Nikolche Variclav - A bizarrely dandy and optimistic fucker. He could be considered Virnaak’s acid trip provider, and is deemed as intriguing because of it. Niko
Sadbh - While Virnaak does not know Sadbh in even a remotely personal manner, her character seems to be that of a more reliable bunk-mate, which does not actually say much in contrast with the remainder. She certainly has an interesting spirit. Magiik
Kopii Grey - Something in regards to Kopii’s person seems disingenuous, yet Virnaak has never managed to find truth or source to this hunch. He recognizes Kopii’s great skill in craft, but that is where his thoughts end. Omikuji

Doubted
Schmidt - A real tosser. Virnaak does not trust the boy as far as he could throw him, but their exchanges are amusing.

Disdained
Kitrana Dawnriver - An unpleasantly-stiff woman. Virnaak does not believe he has even once seen a twitch of a smile from her, which strikes him as both irritating and arrogant. There is not much thought of her beyond, however. French Roast
