Update Log:

Round I
[March 21st, 2021] Avalyn unwillingly becomes Water Blessed on a search for shells and other treasures. [DM: Fry]

1. Days pass and Avalyn find herself strongly drawn to the sea, more than she already had been.

2. Her home in the south is left behind for now, as the child's skin begins to flake the more time she spends there.

3. She grows to love the calming feeling the elemental provides, her troubles fading to dulled emotions that no longer pain her.

4. After months, the decision to unbond has been made, though a fear of falling back to her negative emotions tugs at the back of her mind.

[Daily Act] Avalyn lives on her uncle or father's ship, and is therefore always near the sea, visiting harbor cities and lingering by the docks.


[June 18th, 2021] Avalyn becomes Enthralled, slowly losing more of herself to make room for the spirit she's wanted to keep for as long as possible.

5. The idea of losing herself to the Elemental is one she has feared from the beginning, and as it seems to be coming true, she's more determined to be rid of it.

6. Fires have become threatening to the girl, and the temptations to put them out are hardly resisted. Fireblessed are treated about the same as bonfires would be.

7. The numbness is much needed as more things weigh on the girl's mind. The silence beneath the waves is so very comforting, and it'll be difficult to leave it behind.

[Daily Act] She has always loved to swim, but now it is much rarer to see her out of the water rather than in it. She spends most of her day under the surface.


[June 23rd, 2021] Avalyn is unbonded through the means of Animancy by Lilith Alraun [Arcana]. [DM: Tideborne]

Round II

[January 20th, 2022] Avalyn willingly becomes Water Blessed in an effort to survive while grasped by the Shoreless Gulf. [DM: Solus ]

1. Avalyn knows what to expect from the Elemental the second time around, and she feels more in control.

2. The South is once again left behind, however she can stand short visits home, making sure to mainly keep herself from drying out on land.

3. Despite the calmness being less empowering than last time, Avalyn pushes some of her reactions to be more vivid on the outside, to assure her friends won't grow worried.

Abilities:


Waterblessed are able to move about a cup's worth of non-magical liquid around them freely so long as it is within arms reach (not blood within a body).
They are also able to remove simple impurities from water to make it safe for drinking by separating them from water they are manipulating.
For ten minutes at a time, they are able to breathe water, but must come up for air after this time.


[Current] [16]
They are able to move water (and only water) freely around them providing it is of a quantity no more than a pint.
If the liquid is mixed with something else, it cannot be moved. Holy water cannot be tampered with.
Cannot be manipulated outside of a radius of three blocks.


[Cleanse] [6]
They are able to drink seawater or river water and find no salt, and no impurities take hold of them, as if they filter out the bad.

[Clarity] [5]
They are able to see underwater without any sting or injury to opening their eyes in said water types, and it is not blurred until it at arms length.

[Current II] [6]
They can move water as they did before, but now in many times the capacity, a barrel is a good comparison.
They cannot move water beyond a reach of ten blocks.


[Restoration] [2]
To submerge themselves in water will restore them, leaving themselves feeling rejuvenated,
and minor wounds such as scrapes and bruises will heal themselves at a rapid pace so long as they remain submerged.
This is not for anything beyond that, wounds that need a medic will still need a medic.


[Clarity II] [3]
Their sight is not hindered underwater by salt, toxins, or blurred vision, and can see around them with no issue.
This is limited only in the sense of actual light not reaching the depths as it would on land, however, and this should be considered.

Avalyn McKerras finds her mind wandering as she gazes at the waves crashing against her uncle's ship. She finds herself caring about anything else to be more difficult to imagine. As the waves crash, and the breeze flows past her, she finds herself struggling to be troubled by much else. Over the next few days, her appearance will begin to change, as her personality molds into this new and indifferent mentality.

Appearance || The iris becomes blue, anything from a deep ocean to a light cerulean, and it very slowly moves around the pupil like the slow flowing of water. The silver hued scales expand upward to mid thigh and shoulder, and their digits become webbed. Along the underside of each arm a fin has formed, pressed flat to the arm unless in water.

Personality || At this rank, the calm and serene waterblessed have become so much so that even bad news struggles to trouble them. They can acknowledge it and recognise it, and do react sometimes, but anger and brashness are no more unless in extremes. They do however seem mildly offended at the presence of fire or heat, and instinctively try to put it out.

Strengths || They are fast, competent, and powerful swimmers, and they are able to predict when rain will fall with almost pinpoint accuracy. They cannot drown, for they can breath water in and out, providing it is the ocean or a river or where oxygen will be present for other forms of sealife.

Weaknesses || A hot day means they will flee to the nearest lake, river, or sea, for it is uncomfortable and dries them out quickly. They avoid fires, and deserts are simply impossible for them to be in for how painful and life threatening they have become. They leave wet footprints at all times, seeping through any footwear.

Unbonding || Whilst perhaps not as threatening to life around as a fire elemental might be, it will still be a great danger to the individual, and will require a DM.
