So I’m a writer, at least sorta, I’m in the current workings of my own book but I really like to write little short stories or come up with poems here and there. So I decided to make a little thread for those who want to work on their writing or just have fun with writing and being creative!
The only thing I ask is that if you use a poem or writing prompt that isn’t your own that you give credit to the original creator! So I’ll start off with a poem I found, the credit for it goes to ~e.h (not sure if those are a signature or entails, reason I’m starting off with someone else work is to get into the groove of things XD)

“You dipped your toes in the darkness,
As though to test if it was cold,
And I knew right when you shivered,
You were more scared then you had told,
I wrote my words into a life ring,
Something to keep your world afloat,
But against the strength of your nightmare,
They were a soggy paper boat,
I don’t know what the blackness told you,
What wondrous things it planned to give,
But as I watched the light died in your eyes,
Along with your will to live,
I screamed your name to pierce the silence,
But you were too long gone to hear,
Caught somewhere between being noticed,
And wanting to disappear,
You once said you were scared of darkness,
And that you’d never learnt to swim,
But with its promises pumped through your veins,
You held your breath and jump right in.”
