Can't mine gold nor redstone???

Ok so Ive come accros gold and redstones while minening and when I try to harvest them I get the following message:

Towny: can't destroy in the wild.
This is really frustrating...

Don't know if it does the same for diamond still havent found a vein to try.

For these materials you'll have to go to the Southern Wilds.

Go to the Southern Wilds, there is ship at PS dock, next to Hellship.
