About Your Character!
This section is about the character you intend to use once you rejoin the server. We ask that returning players play a Lore friendly character. You may choose the following for this section:
Character Name:
Nora Addlebrook
Character Age:
21
Character Race:
Halfling
Appearance:
Coming in at a staggering 3'6 and an overwhelming 37lbs, Nora stands at.. Well, a rather average stature for a halfling and actually is not all that remarkable. Brown eyes watch curiously from underneath a mop of red hair, and the small woman makes sure to keep the oversized cap securely settled atop her head.
Written Test!
The sun lowered in the sky, painting the horizon with hues of pinks and orange. The small halfling woman leaned against a fence, with her arms folded over the middle slats and watched the scene with a wistful look in her eye and crumbs at the corner of her mouth. "You know, Jensen? One day, we'll be seeing that sunset in a rich house. At least two stories, three maybe if we are lucky. And there are going to be a hoard of servants coming to bring tea and those little cakes you like so well."
Tossing the last crumb of the day old bread in her mouth, she pulls herself up onto the fence, taking a poised seat on the top board and looking up. Dirty hands rest on the fence post and her legs swing with idle ponderance. "Maybe one of the really nice places in the Landing, even. Or in our own fleet of ships, we'll sail the coasts and settle and make our own rich house. Wouldn't that be nice? Of course, I don't know the first thing about building and neither do you. So. Hire someone to do it for us, maybe. Yeah, I like the sound of that. What about you?"
From below, there's an uncouth snort as the pig noses through the grass at the base of the fence post. Perhaps the best manner of response she could have hoped to get, considering. The halfling smiles, and tosses her hat down to land on Jensen's rotund head. The pig, however, pays little mind to her disturbance and makes work of eating the weeds growing by the fenceline. "Yeah, well. What would you know? You've never dreamed of more than this farm."
She sighs softly, and turns away from the pig. Once more to the sky. Twenty years had she been working this little farm, just her and her parents. Then just her and her ma. And now... Just her. It didn't quite feel right to up and leave it, not like it was. Not like it is. Still so much work to be done, and of course to leave it without the harvests done, and of course that patch in the roof she'd been putting off for a while now. It wouldn't be right to leave it, and then with the snow coming soon, there was the wood to chop. Just her, it'd take three times as long as it used to. Even with Jensen's help to pull the sled laden with the branches and twigs. But one day. One day when that was all done and everything was in a good shape and a fine state to venture out, she'd do just that. Go and see the cities. Go and see what was in the Landing these days, as it'd been so long since the last time she'd visited. She'd make a point to stop at all of the food stalls, as it's only fitting to try the cuisine of the tall folk.
But... for now.. Nora slid down from the fence, brushing the breadcrumbs from her face and her shirt. A quick tidying and a nab for the hat. For now, it was time to get back to the farmhouse. A lot of work to do for tomorrow and it'd be best to tuck in early. Dreams of the rich house would still be there tomorrow. Tugging at the pig's collar and a quick click of her tongue, she led him away from the grass and to the nearby lantern light of the hillside cottage. Dreams another day, indeed.
