How this will work:
A bracket will be made and people will be paired to fight
Fight to your best strengths, while you defend against another at their best; be creative!
The loser of each fight is the one that dies or can no longer fight.
If you die, your gear will be available for pickup in New Soolera.
NPCs will fill in for no-shows, or as additional fighters.
The arena area rating will be Violent. The area surrounding it, like the market, is rated moderate.
An entry fee of 5,000 radiants is required for fighters, which will be added to the base pool! (send to Snowymaximus).
When fighters begin their attack, fights will start with a d20 initiative roll; the higher die will determine whose action is first.
The initiative will depend on the combatants planned initial action; roll using HollowStats, add the number of successes to a d20 (/roll 1d20+[number successes]).
Combat will commence in a call-response manner.
An action can be multi-faceted (like a shove into an attack, a roll into a lunge, a kick of dirt into a slash, a cantrip into a stab) - but the opponent may gain the ability to react to an action that will take time. DM will determine if that's the case and how many rolls to make.
Example
> P1 - Loading a bow, roll Body+Ranged
> P2 - Charging with sword, roll Body+Melee
> P1 - 1d20+Successes, Rolls 3
> P2 - 1d20+Successes, Rolls 20
> P2's Body+Ranged action goes first
> P2 fires shot at P1, Body+Ranged 7 successes
> P1 reacts to Evade, Body+Evasion 3 successes
> P1 is hit but rolls a 6 armor save; armor is damaged
> P1 rolls on the ground into a lunge at P2, Body+Evasion 1 success.
[waits for P2 to react, if he tries to block, for example: P1 rolls Body+Grappling; P2 rolls Body+might]
> P2 reacts to evade out of range while P1 rolls on the ground, Body+Evasion 10 successes vs P1's Body+Evasion 1 success
> P2 successfully avoids
> P2 casts a spell at P1, CA 5 successes
> P1 attempts to resist, 1 successes
> P2 hits P1 with spell
