I saw that there was only 1 season with 25 episodes and seeing as I am episode.. 10? I was so dissapointed :/ I remember you saying about main characters dying in (Insert badly remembered name) and for some reason kept thinking you said SAO so I have been going this entire time thinking OMG IF YOU DIE NOW I'LL CRY..... but I just read back and saw it was Attack on Titan

Clannad and Clannad After Story are among the saddest anime, and animation in general, ever made. In my opinion, of course, but a lot of people agree, it makes SAO look cheerful in comparison.You have thoroughly confused me

Angel Beats actually has a nice ending since:
They get reborn and this time probably meet each other during their lifetime.
Who liked Clannad should watch Little Busters Season 1 and two btw - same makers.
Another actually sad ending was in Elfen Lied, though they never animated the actual End, and I fear Brynhildr in the darkness(Same Author as Elfen lied) will suffer the same fate. - though that will actually have a partially sad (anime) end instead of
Lucy (and consequently Nyuu too) dying;
Some years pass off screen:
In the Epilogue the MC talks about how a vaccine to the dyclonius-infection was found or something like that - though there was a complete birth control during that time.
When the MC goes to the spot he and Lucy had childhood memories from he meets two child girls looking like Lucy and Nyuu, though without horns.
