the only thing i know i was clearing some arbandoned houses of people that didnt live in town any more

Here is what was on the ban list, you'll have to wait on sally for a final verdict.

But I think what she is hinting at is that you should really ask someone before just clearing away peoples stuff, since usually banned peoples items go into the vault for auctioning. I guess even if they are in your town you cant take their items.

Its only a 24 hour one so just wait it out.

If this does result in a strike (not sure if it is yet) then you will be on a Last chance, meaning that if you have another offence like this then you get a permanent ban, but either way be careful.

The only reason I can see this cropping up is that someone complained that all their stuff is missing and its because you removed it thinking they had left/were banned etc.

sorry Sal i didnt know that i could not clear plots of banned people and i didnt know that stuff normally goes up for acution because there is loads of empty homes etc. but when people arnt online for more then 2 weeks or perm banned i useually just clear their plots and store their stuff in the town bank for later use in the town my apologies im truelly very very sorry

In your defense we don't have a rule anywhere for the players to see that stuff from banned people goes on auction. I believe you when you say you were under the impression you were not removing stuff from a player you banned only recently.

However when I left this afternoon Sally was still going through the logs about this, so I'm not sure if there is more to it than just this. Sally won't be here for a while I think because of the timezones, so I will unban you now but if something comes up with Sally we might still take action. This is still her ban and it's her authority, but I don't want to waste your evening if it was sorted already.

I think it's fair enough that a mistake can happen with a town as large as yours, just be careful with whos house you are clearing.

Actually it wasn't just that. Aug88 assumed CrazyLord was banned for xray, broke into his house and used /plot clear
Then looted his stuff. Which yeah, if he was perma banned I would've let this slide, but even after you found out CrazyLord wasn't permabanned you showed no sign in chat that you intended to return the items, in fact I didn't see any reaction at all after you /msg'd a few mods asking if he had been. Then there was Verpa.

Bit long, but I made sure to read through all the logs before I went to bed. You never once hinted that you'd return the items and you robbed verpa's house and while he was convinced you'd return everything, since they were in your house mixed up with your other items I highly doubted it.

If you're safe keeping someone's items, store them in a box with their name on it. If you think someone's banned, check the ban list. Normally I wait 2 or more days even if I'm sure someone is banned, they might make an excellent appeal and be back in no time. Of course I don't give any time for xrayers when they're confirmed.

Anyway. Please check the ban list from now on. I do not like this drama.

I think the best way to do that is disable all clear plot commands. Towny and lockette may have conflicts otherwise.
