I just finished watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes, a 110 episode saga that beautifully presents an epic tale of galactic war and politics.

The show is an old one (1988 old), and the animation quality is admittedly very poor, but I highly, highly recommend this anime for anyone with an interest in war and politics (which should be half the server, if not more).

The order in which you should watch the series is as follows:
My Conquest is a Sea of Stars (movie, prequel)
Overture to a New War (movie, elaboration upon first two episodes of main series)
Legend of the Galactic Heroes (main series)

Coming off watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes, I decided to watch Perfect Blue, another classic that I saw was highly recommended.

Perfect Blue is an anime film about a pop idol who decides to reform her image by becoming an actress. The film turns into a psychological thriller, and I can't elaborate much past that without beginning to spoil the film. I should mention, however, that there are some mature scenes; this is a film that definitely warrants an 18+ age rating.

I was greatly impressed by Perfect Blue, and I think it's a masterful piece of work. If you've ever watched Akira, another classic anime film, and enjoyed that, then I believe you'd also enjoy Perfect Blue.

So it was the last episode of Parasyte last night.... Prepare for spoilers.

REALLY, THAT WAS THE ENDING?!?? while it was very sad seeing Migi go, I can't help but feel that they needed at least 2 episodes, so much left unexplained..... Other than that, the rest of the series was ammaaaazing. The bit at the end when Migi saves the chick was a bit obvious though I think.

Well Shirobako, Death Parade and Kancolle are now officially over so.

Nice pacing and it gave some impressions on how anime is actually made and how much work is behind it. - one of the best shows in this season imho
Definitely one of the better shows of this season and I can only suggest to everyone to watch it.

This too was one of the best shows in this season.
The ending was kind of a cliffhanger but still .

Overall a good show, with consistent animation quality. (madhouse ftw!)

Spoiler: Kancolle

Overall enjoyable, though quality control was really bad(teleporting characters, vanishing characters, don't let me make a list) and the decision to make the Admiral invisible was really questionable.

I guess the choice was made so people playing the game can insert themselves or their favorite fanart Admiral in, but the zero characterization made some events like the Admiral suddenly disappearing after the naval base got bombed rather pointless.
Taking a few conversations (which were neither voiced nor subtitled btw) between the characters and him/her aside the admiral had only minor impact on the story.

I would have personally preferred it if they had let them die during the bombing and Nagato just conceal his death to upkeep morale, and replace him/her with a properly characterized and actually appearing Admiral later.

Strange things from a story perspective:

Introducing one shouldd say: Those who forget about the past are condemned to repeat it.
Apparently fate draws the girls to sink where they originally sunk while they were ships. for the IJN Ships the Abyssals took the place of the USN Carrier Force.

- Around Midway island, YAMATO felt a strong force of fate, no not Akagi or Kaga (FleetGirls)who were not only there but also sunk as ships. - No, it was freaking Yamato, who wasn't even there at the orginal battle of Midway.
Oh and Fubuki having a feeling that there would be a 3rd Abyssal carrier?
The most peculiar thing though was that Yamato glared at Nagato for apparently no real reason at all.

Maybe those few fan made manga pages are true and the ships are actually abyssals too - For some reason i'd really like to see that now lol


A sequel has been announced in the last episode, nothing specific though. Might be another season, might be a Movie or an OAV, no idea.

If you are expecting a lot of ecchi comedy, get your shirt back on because this series won't deliver it.

The Main character, is a pessimistic, dead fish eyes having guy who purposely stays out of any social activity (or commits social suicide mini spoiler haha )
In contrast to most shows declaring themselves to be comedy you can actually see the plot unfolding in this one without having to think about it to discover it.

It does have its comedic moments but they mostly serve for characterization.

This is the second season already, so you might want to watch S2 first.

I only read the Manga, so I'm not sure what to say about it.

Game world --> Gods --> Familias (eh, antonio, you want betray la familia, will ya? - Just kidding). Really not much to say about it.
The most Ecchi in this I actually remember from the Manga is Hestia's outfit.

If you think a series about cooking can't be ecchi you are wrong.
After 5 minutes I was like 'WT*(sorry @ admins) am I watching there?!'

You don't want to know how girls think squid with peanut butter tastes - if you think they used the girl who had to eat that master work to make an imaginary tentacle joke here I can only say : Damn straight.
Hence why I was like described above after just 5 minutes.

Other than that you can apparently learn something about cooking from it, some people tried to recreate the winning dish from the episode (not the octopus one) and it looks tasty.

Yeah this got a sequel too. Not much to say about it. Still the same as season 1 I guess.

Plastic Memories

This story takes place in a future not too far away when androids that look exactly like humans begin to spread across the world. The android production company SA Corp. produced Giftia, a new kind of android that has the most amount of emotion and human-like qualities out of any other model ever seen.

However, due to problems in technology, the androids have a service life, and once they pass that, they... Well, it gets pretty bad. For this sake, SA Corp. creates a terminal service in order to retrieve Giftia that have gone past their service life. A new employee at the terminal service named Tsukasa Mizugaki forms a team with the Giftia Isla to retrieve the other androids, but...

I enjoyed EP 1 of this.
Definitely a drama series, and if some of my speculations come true its a mean one too. prep some hankerchiefs for your tears

You know, I know this actually has a story, but I'm still kinda pissed it gets a 3rd season before No game no life or Mahouka get their second...
I have yet to get myself to watch this season's EP 1, but from picking random locations in the video I can assure you its still the same as the last 2 seasons.

And 'Progenitor Tepes' reminded me of another vampire anime which I dropped after several episodes.
(That anime btw the only one I ever droped past EP 3)

So I just checked out the character art and am right with one thing about her.
I don''t want to spoiler myself too much, so I won't skim through Manga pages around the Internet, but it is possible that I might drop it mid season depending on how that character is being treated in the story.

Also I asked on an anime forum regarding owari no seraph, and someone said its safe - they didn't know what scene in that other vampire anime I was referring to though (probably for the better lol).
Anyway apparently safe to watch.

So I was extremely disappointed in the first episode of the second season of Fate/Stay Night.......I thought for a terrible moment they had decided to go the route of the last Fate/Stay Night anime instead of the vein of Fate/Zero.....

until the half way point hit and then I was in heaven again.

Basically I'm beyond hyped for this season now :3

I'm well aware of all this. I was talking animation and story telling quality . The original Fate/Stay Night Anime however was just bad.

I'd go into more detail about they why but I'm on my phone and I just woke up so....later. XD

It's a historical anime about a prince of Pars (aka Parthia) during a war against Lusitania (aka Eastern Roman Empire) over an ally of Pars (aka Armenia). So far, it looks to be a very good show!
