I was referring to Shirou being stupidly OP due to what seemed like willpower alone. After the long battle with Gilgamesh, which he probably should have lost (weird how all of the swords that Gilgamesh fires, Shirou only knocks away about 4, the rest had Stormtroopers aiming them I guess), he then finds strength from nowhere to fight against Gilgamesh's hook thingy.
Nah, that's just how the Gate works and always worked.

basically he is showering his enemies with Noble Phantasms.
So, basically even if Gilga doesn't know who his enemy is is hee can just shower them with Noble phantasms because one of them WILL be able to kill his opponent.

Zero's Berserker pretty much did the same, he grabbed the ones he could and blocked the ones that could have hit him with the appropriate weapon. Difference was that his ability allowed him to make the weapon his for a time.

Gilga isn't really as strong as he appears, which you will see in heaven's feel.

Other than that Shirou also has plot armor.

Well I skipped a bit though Fate EP 25 and uehm anime original additional scenes or I just forgot about them entirely oO.
Think they are anime original though, since Archer Emiya comes from a mix of Fate and Heavens Feel as far as what the narration hints.

Time for summer season!

http://anichart.net/summer

My personal List will likely be like(assuming that that they are being officially translated or at least air on a channel I can watch; thus list is subject to change):

Looks like this will be a busy season for me if all of them get officially translated...

Remaining:

Shoukugeki no Soma - leftover from spring season

Ore Monogatari - see above

Kyoukai no Rinne - see above; This is from the author of Inuyashua btw.

New ones:

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime - reminds me of Akatsuki no Yona, so i'll try it; Subject to change whether I'll actually watch it though.

Chaos Dragon: Sekiryuu Sen'eki - Not much to tell the story sounds interesting

Charlotte - Because P.A works. @Somnastra ?

Classroom☆Crisis - Subject to change depending on the amount of actual story.

Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri - I've heard about the Light novel and this is supposed to be good. The story is pretty much Fantasy dimension invades modern world and Modern world responds with sending tanks into fantasy world . While not sounding too impressive at first (more like that other anime whose name I forgot) this one is supposed to be good and more serious.
@Spark ?

Jitsu wa Watashi wa - Vampire, Alien, Devil - Its fun especially starting from the point the troll-demon headmaster shows up.

Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan - Another round of evil-bug killing.

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou - This actually got an anime? ok... for the lolz

Overlord - Log Horizon/SAO from the PoV of a Villian.

Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace - YEAH MURDER MYSTERY :D:D:D

Rokka no Yuusha - Sound slike a war adventure story to me gotta try and see if its good.

Joukamachi no Dandelion - Sounds like one of those reality shows where they put X persons in a single house or two and film their entire life; lets see how this turns out.

Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai - Subject to change; this better have more comedy than ecchi

Gangsta - Subject to change

Kangoku Gakuen Prison School - Subject to change; This better have lots of story and is not what it looks like by the promotion picture

I just hope that this list will decrease fast, thats almost the entire season - Oh well half of it will probably not get an official translation anyhow.

Durarara!!x2 Ten.

That is all.
Hype
is
real.
You should try out gate people claim that its good. I can't really say if it is though since I never read the light novel.
I guess it can't be worse than attack on titan or Owari no Seraph though.

I generally post a season overview every 4 months or so - I was too lazy to post all the descriptions for stuff that might interest people so I just put the link to the season chart there this time :D.
I have also never heard of most of them before this time.

I've heard about Gate and that its supposed to be good, I know Jitsu wa Watashi wa and Monster Musume, but thats about it. Well Ok I'd also know ToLoveRu Darkness but I really don't want to watch 90% ecchi and 10% story. 50:50 is ok, but everyothing beyond that is just meh. - I still couldn't bring myself to watch more than a few seconds of HS DxD season 3 lol.

De facto I assume that my list will shrink to about half of what it currently is after the first 3 episodes.

Even if it hasn't be dubbed or cleared for an English release I always translate the titles of anime and mentally remember them that way or Cruncyroll or Hulu does it for me. So untranslated titles just leave me so confused if these are in fact new animes I haven't seen which will be good or if I already know about them xD

Yeah thats another reason why I posted an anime chart for the season.
For one people can check the story, and the other is that they can associate it with the cover pictures, for the other people can actually see all the anime that theoretically airs instead of a select few I write my 2 cents about - whether those anime get a translation is a different point though :/

First two animes watched.

Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace started off good, although no mystery was solved yet and bar a short deduction no clues shown yet.

Gate:
I finally remembered the name of the similar anime... 'Outbreak Company'
basically gate is the reverse of that.
Japan is being invaded through the gate that has (until further information) randomly opened, while in Outbreak Company an actually random gate opened and Japan wanted to expand their Manga business there.

So if someone liked the general story theme but not outbreak company in specific this will probably be the right series for them.
The first episode strongly hints that there won't be much peaceful trade going on in gate, and the series started off rather strong, too.

They managed to get the situation and its direness over without having to use tons of blood gore, so this is likely going to be story centered.

They ran the 'the MC is an otaku' joke a bit into the ground though.

Enemies until now:
orcs, goblins, and dragon riders lead by humans :D

Ok lets start this-

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime
Nice series with the Herbalist Shirayuki fleeing her country going to another one where she strives to become a court herbalist. - In a medieval world setting of course. It keeps me wanting to watch the next episode so it will remain on my watch list.

- recommended and on my watch list.

Chaos Dragon: Sekiryuu Sen'eki

First thing I thought after EP 1 ended was: Danganronpa - yeah that sheet with dead characters was almost the same as there lol. Not really sure if its good or not; but the plot is pretty much that every time he draws the dragon power he has to sacrifice one of his friends. Ironically it started with the girl he wanted to save lol.

Not sure what to do with this tbh. Not especially good not really bad either.

Charlotte

Not sure if it helps people but its apparently from the same specific staff that worked on Angel Beats back then.
I have yet to find out why the title is 'Charlotte' considering how there is not a single character with that name.

The main char's little sister is kinda annoying me but I'll still watch it to the end.

- recommended and on my watch list.

Classroom☆Crisis
This has a surprising amount of good story, despite the tags it received.

Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri
Awesome but censored.
When a LAM shoots off a dragon's arm you'd expect to see more than just smoke, or at least hear the arm drop down on the ground. Nothing of the likes happened here though.

It is still an awesome story that makes me want to see the next one each week, but yeah those censors are kinda immersion breaking. I still recommend watching it though, it has a good story and if you really want to get the uncensored experience - buy the novel or the manga ;)

- recommended and on my watch list.

Jitsu wa Watashi wa
Youko's voice is annoying the heck out of me. Other than that there are just the usual changes an adaption gets.

Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan
rather typical content for a series like this.

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou
I still can't belive this actually got

Overlord
This is really good. At the beginning he isn't really a villian but apparently slowly turning into one (or a Skeletor lookalike hero?)

- recommended and on my watch list.

Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace
Well definitely not a classic mystery and always has a very dark twist. I personally doubt the first case can even be solved. I saw one person call it, but honestly all they did was guess.

Rokka no Yuusha
I don't get the maya world setting there mixed with the fantasy >>

Joukamachi no Dandelion
Its fun to watch this.
The main char is rather shy, and thus has problems going out of the house because the entire city is filled with surveillance cameras.

Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai
Seitokai Yakuindomo 2.0.
So yeah pretty much loads of dirty jokes.

In this world here coarse language is totally forbidden, and prosecuted. Sounds familiar? Well demolition man did that one too, just that he gave a damn and just cursed into that thing until it ran out of paper lol.
So the main char is blackmailed into joining that dirty joke terrorist group (yes dirty jokes are considered terrorism there)

If you liked Seitokai Yakuindomo you should definitely watch this.

Gangsta
This is awesome. Just awesome

Gakkou Gurashi!
totally worth watching this.
The first thing you should know is that this is neither a series about middle nor grade schoolers, but about high schoolers. Their looks are more the general art style and even the teacher's would look like that.

A recommendation if you watch it after having read the synopsis:
Watch the episode from start to beginning, even if you don't get what it is about or what is has to do with the topic it promises. Just watch the episode without skipping anything.

The same goes if you haven't read a summary yet. Just watch it, best don't spoiler yourself with the synopsis and jut watch it even if you think 'wth am I watching there?' It has a nice twist ;)

I wish they would make more SAO seasons like the first one. It was so much fun until all that stupid alfheim/gungale stuff started happening... such wasted potential, guess Il just wait for the game to reach open beta instead..

Try Log Horizon (2 seasons already aired) and overlord (currently airing) then.

I agree gun gale was Blegh and Alfheim was meh at most parts. Though the Asuna story arc at the end of season 2 was pretty nice. Got rid of the harem nonsense and showed Asuna doing things on her own again. The story itself wasn't very orginal but it was a nice relief from ridculous harem nonsense.

Log Horizon as they say is pretty tight. Give it another chance.
