Like the rumors thread, But more long winded.

These are the campfire tales of deeds of heroes now and past. All kinds, good, evil. If the legend would be well known It ot to be posted here. Preferably things that would spread from story teller to story teller. Sang of by bards, Spoken of by poets...


Spin a grand tale! Fact need not apply, As it is a dull cryer who lends not his tale to exaggeration.

(Preferably don't tell tales of your own deeds.)

Thiil has had a couple instances of an event called Tales with Friends where characters sat around a campfire and told legends and tales. A lot of them were really good and some of the Tales I transcribed and added to Thiil's library. Some of those folks, if the stories are remembered, might like to post them here as well. Though this reminds me I need to finish transcribing those and put in more of the tales onto the shelves. Anyway- Yeah. Tales folks!~

The Tale of the Black Knight of the West

He carries himself 10 feet tall...
His blades sharper than the teeth of visage's Black dragon.
He never speaks any words for if he spoke you would surely parish in his presence.

Not to be trifled with, Even the bravest warriors bow to him.

Some say this dark walker doesn't sleep, as his nights are consumed by a lust, Unending for prey.

Some say his body is made of armor, Like a shell, and within is nothing but a black twisted shadow...

All that need be known, If you hear his words... you are not long for altera...

Oh yay, I'll have so many more ballads for Cyrus to sing instead of just ripping off the Dubliners, this is gonna be s-

Oh. There's only one poem? And it's really short? And it doesn't even rhyme? Okay.

(I wanted to put up a thread for events I should write ballads about - like how I'd like to do for that upcoming expedition to Port Silver that I will NOT be on, thankyouverymuch. I think it'd be cool for the bards and minstrels and skalds and poets to sing about actual playermade events, like I've sort of done with 'Rising of the Moon' being about some Northern rebellion, either far in the past or the actual rebellion that brought Freya to power.)

Legends tell of a tale now long past. Of an ancient sword that, even now, lives with a mighty Earthspawn warrior.

It used to be bright. It fought for justice and all that was good- of the Sun's holy truth, before it fell to corruption and malice in the wake of Jishrim's trickery.

It has since been reborn, and used as a blade to lead the righteous once more, Held By Him. Not to serve those of the Sun, but those of Rahas.

They say it caused a great victory in the initial battles between those of the sun and those of the people. It is said that it even turned back an army of zealots with a single blow to their leader!

Outnumbered and out-trained, only the men's hearts steeled themselves for what had to be- nay, needed to be done. The blade did the impossible. It strengthened the men's morale to the very highest, and pushed back the armies of the Sun!
Those who once used it in the name of purity and righteousness were then defeated by the very same blade in the form of the undying will of the people!

Since then it has been renamed and reforged. Now we now call it "Ana'gorosh"- Earkzian for "Bane Of The Sun."

Legends also say the warrior himself still serves with the blade, and any who worship the sun may soon feel its sharp point at their throats.

(( this is a gran story- find out icly through my character! ))

Well the exodus isnt a legend, it happend and we have proof. We can see the exodus portal at the warcamp and all the grief stuff at nether's edge
