In response to the words of Maceo de Courtnay-
I speak on behalf of the entire Council of the Divine. My words represent the agreed will of us all:

- Empress Elarinya Wise of Sallana

- King Cymic Seymour of Jax
- Thôrdil Bárúmur of Korog
- Myself, Warrior-priest Querig Tryggvi Strand of Theodra
Our decision to name the Makani non-heretics is far from corrupt,
and any man who would call upon the mass genocide of an entire race even in the name of the divines is naught but a warmonger who has not learned from the mistakes of the past.
The Makani came from somewhere. They were created.
They are not Divine or Demonic, they are as mortal as all of us and all of you.
They live and they die just as we do.
And as they were created from somewhere, so did their worship.
We do not understand their way of life,
and it is very possible that their 'God' Manna is simply another face and name of one of our own Pantheon.
As far as any of us know they have existed in this world as long as we have.
And so we have named them non-heretics,
so that we may focus on the more dark and foreboding issues facing us,
and so that in the future there can be peaceful dialogue with the Makani,
rather than fear and hatred.
To those of you who are still foolish enough to raise your blades against an entire race of beings,
you have not learned from the mistakes of the past.
Maceo de Courtnay would lead you down the same path of failure as the past iterations of the High Church, of rigid fear-mongering and closed faith.
Turn your blades of war instead against the Demonic and Dark beings,
that would threaten every mortal being in Altera,
whether Makani, Elf, Dwarf, Caparii, Human or the creatures that share this vast Wilderness with us.
I openly invite any who wish to discuss the Council and this decision to seek out myself,
or the other council members.
Maceo de Courtnay and Pod Flanders, I speak to you now directly-
You are cowards, and laughably dishonorable individuals.
You have the audacity to spit upon our Council as heretics for defying your warmongering ways,
and then come to us and demand for your places back on our Council?
Ignis is welcome on our Council, but you are not.
You are hypocrites and liars of the highest order, preaching your doctrine and the Divine Law rigidly,
while bending it or outright breaking it for yourselves and the people you name friends.
You have no respect for your fellow Divine Ambassadors or for the Pantheon.
My response is the same as Lord Bárúmur's- I will never let you back onto the Council willingly.
As a man who truly stands by his deity's doctrine, I do not show mercy to those who betray my trust.
You are the kind of men who fall the hardest when the Wilderness comes for them.
