Forgotten - The results of todays Trial

Michcat

i'm the wench if you're the cake ;)
A piece of Parchment sends through the Alteran Postal Service to all Nobles.

All former Inquisitors are pardoned, by the Crown of Altera and the Church of Might.

Today, a man was tried by a noble Seven. A man who once held the highest seat of the Church of Altera. Once lead the Inquisition.
For crimes atrocious, this sentence was proclaimed upon his admittance of guilt.

Before the present, at the Trial today within the Cathedral, Queen Leminth of Altera, Supreme Justiciar, made final the sentence agreed by the Seven -
- The Archbishop of the Church of Might
- The Baron Grimar of Riddleport
- Lord Marcus of Arcturus
- The Coinmaster
- The standing High Priest
- The former Lawgiver Septimus

And this, she spoke.

"Your sentence has been decided. If the other six would allow me...?

You, previously known as
*Smudged ink*

You are Forgotten, and that shall be my last utterance of your name.
You name, shall be scoured from every stone.
Your actions, attributed elsewhere.
Your words, swept from records.
You, the Forgotten, will die quietly and in a small, dark, unmarked room.
Your death will not be announced afterwards.
You will gain no obituary.
And this, is your punishment...

Effective immediately. Trial, adjourned.

.... They say you die twice.
Once, as your body lies still.
... A second time.
As it is last spoken your name."

With these words, the trial dispersed.
Let the convicted, forgotten one be lost to the pull of time.

And with this, let the Church of Might rise for worship of the Divines.

Lord of Altera
And who are you, the proud mob said,
that we must bow so low?

Only a tyrant of a different cloak,
that's all the truth I know.

In a cloak of silver or coat of mail,
Across Cromarky shores,

Our knives are long and sharp, my lord,
as long and sharp as yours.

And so they spoke, and so they spoke,
to Inquisitors so near,

And now the rains weep on Cathedral hall,
with no one there to hear.

Yes now the rains weep o'er Cathedral hall,
and not a soul to hear.
