Backstory: Rachel and Matthew were married and, 9 months later, parents to a gorgeous, large baby boy, whom they named William after the father's father. William was always a quiet baby, not making too much of a fuss if he was hungry, or tired, and didn't spew his breakfast on his mother too much, which was nice. But he didn't like activity. By the time he could walk the other children had been walking for months. It wasn't that William was stupid; far from it. He just enjoyed staying inside, and the parents didn't see why that was such a bad thing. They found out a couple of years later, when William was 6.
They had finally persuaded him to go outside and play with the other children, but they didn't like him much. He was too big - both tall and chubby - and they didn't know him, so were scared of him and maybe jealous of his height. A little boy thought it was funny to pretend to push him, as to mock his weight. William wasn't a violent child, so just let this kid make fun of him, but the other children found it funny and decided they wanted a go. All 4 of them. William was shoved over onto the ground and there was a sharp cracking noise as his thigh bone snapped. William screamed in pain, and his parents came rushing along. His parents didn't know, (They weren't doctors or anything remotely similar) but William had been deprived of Vitamin D, which had lead to a weakness of the bones, or Osteoporosis.
So, as William grew up, he didn't do exercise or played with other children his age, as he was mortally terrified of the same thing happening again. As a result, his lower body was very weak and fragile. He kept fit by helping his father in the Bakery, but didn't strain himself too much. He enjoyed it in there, especially the decorating of the cakes. He grew very attached to his father, and helped out up until the age of 19, by which point he was growing tired of his life in the countryside. he decided to venture out, into the lands of Altera. He knew he was ready, and knew how he was going to keep his stay in the bustling world. He was going to open his own Bakery in Altera, where people would rush to, to buy pastries and pies and bread. Or so was - and still is - his dream.
