(Please listen to this when you read it)

Pain had summoned itself, Armin’s life flipped for the worse, his life corrupted into a blank vision of grey and black, his heart was empty and his brain filled and turning with emotion like a hurricane. Armin desired something more, he desired his home; where the cold fields of snow and the warm winds of a chinook live; where he started is where he ended. He decided upon that day to trace his roots; mixing a mixture of berries he made a blue face paint and mixing powder; a white one, he then proceeded to paint his face and body with symbols of his faded culture, the one that would end with him.

The winter’s took a harsh bite at the side of Armin’s exposed face, as he bitterly climbed through the piles of snow heading towards the north. He trekked on, from the village of Vallee, he headed north, stopping at the crossroads he sold all the items he could to the merchants, using the money only for food and other supplies. As he moved steadily north, he left many tracks of his existence, unlike his usual self. His campfires were left with coals and snow moved and looking quite unnatural.

Yet he keep going, tracking north as far as he could, only one destination in his mind; the frozen fields of snow and mighty forests of spruce wood. He stopped at the the sound of a river crashing loudly between white waters and rock, sighing he removed his bag, starting to cross the river. The rivers crashed loudly against the his legs, as his footing soon left him falling his bag disappeared from his slight, riding the tides down the river; his supplies going with the flows of icy water. The river soon swallowed Armin as well, forcing him down the banks, crashing into rock and shore water starting to fill his lungs as he reached and with the final strength he could summon, drag himself out of the water.

He violently landed on shore, on his knees coughing up water from his lungs, choking painfully in between coughs. Armin flopped around onto his back peering up to the sky, and at the moment snow lightly came from above, perhaps a warning to stop his journey, yet Armin was not having it, rising to his feet, and starting to move into the cold plains of the north. He made his way north, stepping past the city of Heaven’s Reach, taking a moment to explore the old farm space of the city, before turning back to the woods.

He made his way into the coverage of the woods, Looking over the forest floor for tracks, or plants yet he found nothing, He reached to a large sized stick on the ground, drawing his last resource; his dagger and carving the point to a deadly point than siding the dagger on his belt. He sighed as he continued on. As his hunger became stronger, his connection to reality became to fade. As he walked down a opening, he heard a faint noise, a cry of pain; Peering around he looked for the source of the cry finding nothing but wildness “You failed me.” something called, he turned a girl standing behind him with blonde hair and a chest ripped and bloody her eyes pale and lifeless; “You failed me brother, on my time of need you couldn’t save me” She spoke cruelty. The girl took another form, Tomari standing next to her spoke the same words, than two more figures appeared, his children and together they cried to him “You failed me.” Armin ran as fast as he could, the voices ringing still in his head.

you failed me it repeated in his head you failed me! it yelled in anger, he dropped to his knees, sobbing into his hands at the repeat of noise. A sudden pain took to his back, a numbing pain, yet it almost seemed comfortable to him; almost if that pain was natural and never came or went; but stayed there forever. Soon it roared, something tried to awake his head; as he faded back to reality he finally realized what was happening; the mountain lion ripped holes into his back, as he stumbled forward….

The battle did not last long, yet the spear he held as if it was his child; connected to the throat of the Lion, Its death being long and dramatic, he keep walking forward, his chest and back ripped and clawed from the daggers of the lion. Even at his final moments he keep the words of Theodra to his heart; Do not give mercy and do not expect it. He held what he could in place, and went on, he saw what shined to him like he was personality meeting the heavens, a carved hawk on the trunk of a mighty spruce tree in a empty circle clearing.

He smiled weakly, opening the wound on his face even more as the blood poured down, mixing with the blue facepaint. He stumbled forward, touching the hawk. “I finally found you Elaine; Finally I can face you with courage and die where you did, where I failed you.” He drew the silver dagger starting to crave the sigil of a wolf under the hawk, yet his strength failed him as he fell onto his back in front of the tree; the dagger still in the trunk. He peered up and upon a branch he saw a hawk, staring down at him, there his life faded and went on to the internal forrest….

"I read somewhere how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong... but to feel strong." -Into the Wild

;-; we could have been besties.

But wow man, this is so beautifully written, and the song was a perfect match for it. I never heard or read of a better end for a character.

I decided to just list his back-story here as well, just to get some of the references in the post and connect them to his backstory;

Backstory:

Armin was born to his father and mother, his father was a warrior by the name of Adair, whom by trade was a Beast-Hunter. He would often dawn, almost his own personally culture, wearing his long messy black hair to his shoulders and wearing War-Paints of Red and Black. His style was of his own, he wore the deep furs and materials he gained by his trade, often facing his foes without armor and bare chest with only a spear. Adair would form symbols and jewelry out of stone and strap them onto leathers and strings, as a sign of his life marking his many honours in his cravings. Adair was also a firm believer in equality of the genders, because of his faith in both Skeria and Theodra. This belief, was not only passed on by his faith, but also by his father who would often said his mother was a better fighter than him.

Adair explored the paths of tattoos as well, but much prefered the carvings of stone, which never faded. He would travel the world, making small shires as he goes to Skeria and Theodra. For Theodra he would find a healthy tree, craving the symbol of her into the trunk and then lighting two candles and leaving upon the base of a the tree, a wolfs fur. For Skeria, on the other hand, he would offer the bones of a slayed “beast” and then light a large fire to symbolize the glowing flame of anger and fury in battle.

Adair over the years, had many friends and fellow warriors who traveled with him, and shared the same beliefs as him. Many of these men and women fell to combat, but their memories and beliefs were never forgotten, the people of the group would crave memorials into stone and trees to forever remember these fallen heros. Soon Adair’s life would change, a women seeked out these men and came as a large shock. She was beautiful, with long, almost glowing blonde hair that seemed to be made purely of gold, with her she created a almost, noble aura with her steps and form. Most shocking of this women, was her small size standing at nearly 5’4 and yet she carried the heart and strength of someone much larger. Due to this, she became a bit of a joke among the warriors at first, until she challenged a warrior to a spar, which resulted in her swift victory, successfully showing that she wasn’t weak. Adair soon fell for her like a anchor at sea, it took him months of trial till he finally won her over to marriage. Soon they were married and totally carved out of stone symbols of their marriage, with a basic Norvägen knot which was cut into two, one side for each of them. They did not wait long, and soon Mia became pregnant with Armin, who would be born during the year 2242 during the 6th day of Snowdown. His father was a hard believer in fate, and believed the animal you saw first (Alive) after a child was born, was the spirit animal of that person; For Armin it was a wolf.

As-soon as Armin could walk, he was handed weapons, his father hoped that he would one day carry on the honour of his parents, but it was soon learned that Armin was fit for melee weapons and instead Mia replaced the spear in his hand with a bow. He was taught the basics of animal shooting, his parents of course, not willing to teach a child to shoot other people. His mother taught him most of his current ideology, most importantly, when he was 10 and his father was out on a hunting trip, she sat Armin down and told him a line he would never forget “Armin, we live in a cruel world, this world is build for Victors, and only can they survive in this world.” This hard him hard, and it soon turned him (Even more do to his father’s training) hard, and emotionless; But soon the sun of his life was born, his sister. His sister, Elaine. Unfortunately his mother’s luck soon ran out; Adair had missed the birth due to mistakes made traveling, because of this Mia worried and left the infant with her brother and nurses even with the after birth weakness she insisted on going. His strength was gone and do to this, when she met a bear on the way; she did not make it.

Adair seemed to take the death shockingly well, maybe it was out of worry for his family and his suffering was in silence, but it is not known. Soon, Adair pressed the spear into Elaine’s hands when she was 4, but it was noticed something which Adair would called “A curse from the gods” Elaine was exposed to have weak knees, crippling her from running and fighting, Adair took this blow hard and soon spend more and more time in the forest, leaving Armin with Elaine. Soon days turned to weeks, and weeks into months, Adair seemed to disappear out of thin air, only the goddesses of his life know where; because of this the warriors and friends soon left and doing so, leaving Armin and Elaine alone to explore the world. Sadly, Armin and Elaine struggled and soon predators of the forests were tracking them as they made their way north. One night, just a few miles more to go, a distant roar was heard one that rang in Armin’s ears and which he soon realized would be the end of his sister. The cougar showed no mercy, as Armin struggled to hold it off, soon it latched itself upon the crippled little girl on his back, the gritting of teeth and tearing of flesh soon came upon the little girl, she roared a scream of pain, one which would make even the most bravest of warriors cringe in fear, as the beast took the final bit of life from her. Armin roared in pain and shock, drawing the dagger at his side and drawing it in challenge at the feline; after a mighty battle, and a permanent scar of claw marks upon his chest, the murderer was killed; yet no honour came of it, or anything hints of happiness from Armin, instead he found more pain; and the spirit to fight as he would never allow this to happen again.

Elaine was given a simple resting place, under a great pine tree in the north the only thing to mark her life, is a black stone at the base of the tree, with the simple of a hawk (Her Birth Animal) and her lifespan written in date. After making it to a village, Armin wrapped his wounds and soon find himself in the city of Heaven’s Reach where he discovered something shocking, a little girl with blonde long hair and grey eyes; the spitting image of his sister, a girl by the name of Tomari. At that moment he decided to stay for the time with the De-Browns, leaving his life and backstory to them, as a mystery. he soon made it his goal to head north...
