Introduction to Ivolton

All tales have their begins, and their endings. No matter how you try to alter the events that will shape a world, you cannot change its ultimate destiny.

A perfect world, many envision it in different ways. Many see peace and prosperity, lands flourishing and equality for all. However, there are always those who seek to wreck the visions and plans that others have.

The world we now step into, was shaped by hands with far more power than our own. A being of such immensity and power, that it is simply known as the World Shaper. This being created the hills, valleys, rivers and oceans you now see before you. It slumbers for five hundred year gaps at a time, in a gap supposedly cannot be found by man.

However, nothing is perfect, and even the World Shaper has his faults. At night, demonic unworldly forces rise from the ground, the dead walk, and the living hide. These beings answer to the one simply known to you as Ruination. You fear his existence, he can crush you. However, he is kept at bay by the World Shaper, unless woken by foolish mortals. (Future events yayy)

You, an ordinary citizen, find yourself in one such world, you are not sure how you got there, or why, but you know deep down you are here for a purpose. You must survive, protect those you love, and ultimately shape, your destiny.

Further lore and world mechanics

When you gaze out across the world, this is what you see:

OOC:
The world is basically one giant island. It should be set on normal difficulty. The spawn point should be a medium sized town. It needs walls around the edges, and should be lit up inside, to prevent mobs from getting in. Portcullis' act as the gates, which should lock at night and open at dawn. The village will act as an rp hub, the players cannot build inside the town but are more than welcome to stay there. Outside the village should be an area around the village marked with torches where players cannot build. About one hundred blocks out allow players to begin having fun.

In the center of the huge island should be the icy spire shown in the picture. The area around the spire cannot be built on;inside the spire should be hollowed out.

Other than that the rest of the world is a forest biome, dotted with a few plains biomes. The edges around the island should be made of sand too allow players access to sand for glass. Also horses are quite frequent in the plains.

However, redstone should be extremely hard to come by, as should emeralds.

Technology

The technology of the world is very basic. Redstone does not have any uses as far as the players know. The date of the whole things is roughly 140's, which puts it in the medieval area. Magic does not exist at all either, except to the World Shaper.

Plugins expected

Aether II, if possible, it is not needed.
Mychunk for griefing purposes, five chunks per-player.
Portcullis' mod, any as long as gates can be used.
A chat plugin, like the one on HW

(More to be added, maybe)
