6. How do you feel about the 'roleplay' aspect of our server? Do you have any experience roleplaying?
Prefer RP servers over others, so part of the attraction with Altera is just that.
Have plenty of previous RP experience, mostly with tabeltop RP and some LARP. Played WoW for a few years from launch and found that staying in character really helped with the overall experience.

7. Please introduce yourself to the community; explaining who you are, your interests / hobbies and why you are here in 8 sentences or more.​

I'm Steve, a project manager for a company based in South East England [www.eplfilms.com]. It's far from glamorous, but hey it pays the bills...​

A long-time gaming enthusiast, my earliest machine was the Atari 2600. Grew up with the Commodore and Spectrum, before finally graduating to the PC many years later. Used to love Sim City, A-Train, and games like that, so having recently tried out Minecraft, I instantly fell in love.​

Gaming aside, I try to watch as much anime as I can (favourites have to be Eureka 7 and Wolfs Rain), as well as the usual amount of socialising and days out with Olivia (my long-suffering girlfriend). She's not a gamer, and quietly endures my compulsive behaviour. We do sometimes share a game of Crash Team Racing, however the risk of another broken DualShock controller has put a stop to that.​

I'm here as my brother [Psysquig] and I recently tried out Minecraft, running from a server we set up at work (shhh). We've played a few sessions now and really thought we best buy the game and attempt to find a server of like-minded players. We ideally want to be a part of a world where we can explore, adventure, build ourselves a home, and all of the other things that come with that. We want no part in griefing, or any sort of glitching to get 'sweet items' (I assume such hacks exist somewhere on the intraweb).​

I'm still quite new to Minecraft, and I'm here to immerse myself in a constant world of adventure and exploration!​

No example I'm afraid. Our 'work server' is down, and it's the weekend. (noooooo!!!)​

Perhaps someone could tell me (if I were to be accepted) will my name appear as [Deacon] or [BeardyDog]?? I would prefer for it not to be the latter, obviously.​

Will be using no mods at all - understood.​

You are allowed to have your own skin, but it must be Medieval. So no creeper skins etc.
If you can promise me/update your application saying you are aware that if you are found (and you will be) X-Raying for diamonds and other ores, you will be permanantly banned from Hollowworld.

Hi - thanks for the reponse.

I will not be using any mods whatsoever. Not now, not in the future.
Understood about the skin too. I'm, not thinking anything drastic, and it'll definitely be medieval.

Welcome to Hollowworld! I'll whitelist you as soon as I can.

Most players when they log on want to jump in and get established/build before they do anything else. In Hollow World players must first find a town before they can build. You may join a town by asking the mayor or assistant mayor to addyou. You can view all the information about a town by typing /town [townname] .

Lastly, please, PLEASE!!! make sure you understand the following points. It's very important. As a new player, once you play you may be tempted to "test" out an x-ray mod... don't do it!!! We have a 0 tolerance policy for it.
1) We have active members of staff monitoring players suspected of using X-RAY. We have extensive logging capabilities which also highlight to us when X-RAY is suspected. Anyone caught using X-RAY mods or Transparent Texture Packs will be permanently banned without appeal. You have been warned.
2) Anyone found to be griefing our server and subsequently blaming their sibling, friend, dog or any other person other than themselves will be banned irrespective of their innocence. Hollowworld does not permit the use of shared Minecraft accounts and the account you use to apply here is your responsibility. Keep your password safe and DO NOT share your account with ANY third party. You have been warned.
