Elros Nólatári was a simple farmer, quite content with a life of simple, hard work having worked on his uncle's farm throughout his young life, until he inherited the farm when his uncle died (aged 257) when Elros was 73. For thirty years Elros ran the farm, giving the community and helping out questers who passed by his lands. One winter however his crops failed to grow, leaving him starving and forced to sell his home for food. The community he supported abandoned him, and he was left in a state of destitution, travelling, taking any quest in order to buy land for a new home, his morals and faith dwindling.
