Title.
In sparse numbers, heralds (who to a man look quite thin and haggard, or like they've been hired from foreign soil) spread the word around the continent something dramatic and daft like "The Fuvurian Snake rears back to BiTe oR sOMeThINg." Specifically, Sanardu is lifting its quarantine and allowing passage to and fro from the city once more. In light of the recent catastrophe, and in celebration of the city of walls opening its gates once more, a banquet and competition is being held within those walls. Mages and scholars and wisemen of all stripes are invited to attend and present the best explanation of the recent catastrophe to the emperor. All are welcome, except for those peoples who descend from recent enemies of the Fuvurian state (Sangria, Anhald). There will be a prize to winners of the contest, but to maintain a needless air of mystery it is not made clear by the heralds what it will be.
This Friday, probably around 7pm EST. Expect the event to last for awhile, feel free to show up late.
