"The only person you can truly depend on is yourself"

In an archipelago just south of the volcanic wastelands an island begins to bloom with life. From he fertile soil Norskerra begins to rise, a farming port promising industry of all kinds.

Norskerra is House Strand's most southern claim, a personal project of the Chieftess created so that in times of potential strife they would not be completely cut off from southern imports and would not have to rely solely on the kindness of others.

Additionally, Norskerra will play host to industry and craft, with plans to erect guild halls and workshops.

OOC:

This region is not accessible IC just yet, though I hope to change that by the end of the month. For now I just wanted to use this thread as a place to share some of my progress as I work towards that goal to encourage me to keep building.

I was working on a couple other building projects but here are some progress pics for Voturheim which is the keep/castle thing on the island. I'm taking my time with this one cause its one of my favourite things I've ever built. I like the way its not a solid shape and my favourite bit is the way the path curls into the building with the little wall-walk and parapet above the main gate. Not to toot my own horn but its very rare I actually appreciate something I've made like this.

The island is really coming along. I made this cute little layered garden area in front of Voturheim that I love. Next up is the dock area so I can think about getting a port and opening it up properly.

Interest check in auctioning this off as a partially built region on the condition that it isn't destroyed and is continued as is.

It's been a LONG long time since anyone has shown an interest in any of my regions, especially this one, so I just don't see the point of continuing with this ghost town, but I still love the work I have done here and would prefer if I could get someone else to keep it aesthetically similar-ish and just inject their own bit of life into it.

If no one seems interested I will just destroy it but wanted to see if this could work first. The overall value is close to 180k, but I wouldn't be super upset if the bid was a little lower if the buyer was keen to work with it as is instead of changing it completely

Just like this post if you're interested, there wont be any IC conditions unless you want to be somehow politically linked to House Strand and the ruling family.

Thanks

Edit: some slightly more up to date photos + the location on dynmap
