Not sure whether people aren't reading this or thinking we don't enforce it, but a couple of people have already been temp banned for this, so lets make it a little clearer for those who missed it...

Do not invite new players to your town as soon as they join, it is harrasive and against the rules.

The reason this is in effect is because people are rushed into joining towns before they have an opportunity to look around and see what they like.

Would you like it if you joined a new server and people were grabbing your arm almost dragging you into their town? I doubt it.

Let's all use some common sense here and give them a chance to do what they want before they settle down.

It's not RP, if people want to increase the size of their towns they should do so by putting in good posts on the towny section. New players asking in game should be pointed there, even by Mayors who want them as residents.

Having the largest town means nothing in Altera as frankly the population shifts constantly anyway.

This is technically in rule 13 of the King's Laws regarding recruitment in game by directly contacting a player without being requested. I will update this rule to clarify it though, essentially let the new players pick a town on their own, they can always move to yours afterwards.
