Once Upon A Time
... Once Upon a Time, Upon a Time, Upon a Time, Upon a Time Long Hence.

I weave words lost where none may go,
Venture forth to hear them oh boldy so,
In tale yet slow and lost behind,
The greedy clutches in sorrow and time,
How easy to be lost in repast where seasons doth not show.
The warmth of a spring breeze, cresting hill on which it idly swept,
Touch the face of lovers with which who idly wept,
Betwixt thoughts that it should not be so- yet,
Past the sun that turns to lonely set,
Upon the hill where lovers slept.
Sun scorches down on blasted plain,
A peal cries out havoc'd refrain,
A boy, a man, his hands do clutch his breast,
He cries at dreams that shall not vest,
Afeard to die, to fail, in vain.
One by one, the leaves do fall,
Wrapped inside the autumn's pall,
Through so many of those years,
Through so many of these fears,
In need of lord-mastery over all
'pon winters grasp, they're at my hearth, cheeks bright as a cherry,
Smiles on faces, years flown past, forfend to the contrary,
There thence remain, to my refrain, so hath it been arranged,
There's naught to worry, naught to fear, naught shalt ought be changed,
For I make it so; Unnecessary.
