Stabilization has been reached - a stable equilibrium. It is at this point that the Mage gains a mild, hardened resistance to direct manifestations of thermal energies that are not cast by Eviscists. Spells by Animancers, or rather the effects of an Animancer’s work, is only partially negated. For example, a fire malaprop will still burn the Eviscist, but not to the extent it would a normal individual. In times of rest, the Mage may conjure palmsful of flame or icicles of ice. These small tricks do not harm the mage, but continued use of them can result in physical exhaustion. If a Mage uses this in a utilitarian fashion, such as burning someone or lighting something afire, they must roll for a spell effect as if they were casting Candlelight or an appropriately matching spell.
