Wears a long fur coat, the hide of a great beast - possibly a bear - over a white (or at least, that's the colour it once was) shirt. Has an impressive, rather tangled beard, home to his pet spider, Gnievko. Wears a piece of cloth tied around his head to keep hair out of his eyes, and often dark leather gloves to prevent splinters as he cuts down trees.
Strengths:
His strength and awareness of surroundings greatly increase as the moon becomes full. He has a kin sense of smell, and maintains that he can smell a person's feelings and intentions. He does not fear wild beasts (such as wolves, bears, aurochs etc.) and they seem to accept him as part of their natural surroundings.
He is also an accomplished woodcutter, and in fact prefers an axe over a sword as a weapon.
Weaknesses and fears:
He fears the great Sulbin (see "Religion and cults" below), and also silver: coins, crosses, jewellery and such.
Does not trust structures made of "dead" materials, such as great stone castles...

He is a devoted servant of the great demi-god Sulbin, lord of wild beasts. It is possible that Sulbin is in some form related to Shalherana, the Alteran goddess of forests and nature.
Sulbin is a shapeshifter who often takes on the form of a wolf, bear or boar. When in human form, he carries a great axe and can fell a 1000 year old oak with one clean swipe. He also has a very impressive beard, which - according to some - is home to a clan of weasels, which he dispatches on spying missions around the forest. As we know from Slavin's story, Sulbin wears a coat of furs which seem to move as if still alive...
