Standing upon the edge of our worlds, they were loath to remain idly by. The Pantheon became known throughout the ages, extending their influence throughout the people of Altera.

High Priestess? Yes... A High Priestess would be required. Gather the Followers.... And make yourselves ready.

There were whispers speaking of this day, prophecies and words from the Heavens themselves. Speaking of a day in which the Pantheon would pay mind to their followers, and bring upon a new era- A new order.

Eternal Rest, Frozen in Time. I seek the Chosen, To make mine. The high devout, will be first in line.

Becoming from simply a rumor to a blatant forewarning, they spoke of High Priests. Of chosen persons, of Apostles and those earning the favour of the Gods themselves. Born from even the lowliest, those with the spirits strong could achieve.. Anything. For that is the world of Altera.

The Exalted are members handpicked by the Pantheon to represent their persons upon the mortal realm. Any character may ascend to this position, yet know that with great power comes great responsibility.
These Exalted are tasked to oversee the highest of religious matters, making up the High Council that rules the Great Church of Altera. They each must name an heir to their work, each must maintain a following of their Divine, each must spread the name and worship they be. Being the true carriers of the most vital religious texts and knowing divine secrets unfathomable, there are many nuances that come with being one of the Exalted.

Taking upon the position is no light matter- For should you fail, you face the wrath and fury of that which you served. Yet, should you blossom and thrive- An entire unexplored world of development awaits you. For these lands are the blessed lands, where the most unimaginable happens.

The Responsibilities
-Each Exalted must hold true to the direction of their Divine, and to achieve this they will be able to communicate intimately and near instataneously-

-The Entire High Council is responsible for any additions or redactions from The Divine Law-

-Each Exalted must choose an heir to take their place should they fall to the Beyond, and maintain a following for their Divine; they are also responsible for ensuring any large events are recorded-

-Each Exalted must adorn themselves with the Colours of their associated Divine, and follow their edicts and commandments-

-The High Council is responsible to elect the High Inquisitor by debate or vote, and the High Inquisitor has sole jurisdiction over the Inquisition-

-The Exalted are responsible for aiding the purge of Heresy from the lands-

-The Exalted are responsible for additions or redactions to the Doctrine of their Divine-

-They shall also be responsible for any unique responsibilities they would be presented with-

The Risks:
-Should they attempt to abandon their position, they would be struck down in the wrath of the offended Divine-

-Should they act against the ideals of their Divine, they will be struck down in the wrath of the offended Divine-

-The must be ready to take upon all the Responsibilities, for failure is not an option with the Pantheon-

-Occasional.... "boons"-

The Rewards:
-The Pantheon will care for their Own-

-The Exalted will be given preference by their Divine over any others-

-They shall be privy to secrets to disperse at their intuition-

-Any Exalted are able to affect the status of Holy Grounds-

-50% higher chance to call upon the Divine of their association-
