The Frayed Veil is an underground lounge & brothel within the Noble District of Storm's Landing. It is the successor to the Siren's Song, still under management by Madame Ardaline. Should one be able to find it, they pay a fee at the door and stay for as long as they please. It may be smaller, but it is far more opulent - and affords an intimate atmosphere where all patrons have little choice but to be social and mingle. It boasts a stage for performers of all sorts, a bar with a great variety of spirits & wines to indulge in, and comfortable seating for lounging & conversing.
A mixture of Dreamvine & Spirit's Wail are periodically burned as incense, conjuring forth a bewitching haze that envelops the interior of the establishment. Patrons find themselves in a state of peace, seeing the sources of light around them blur into beautiful and unique shapes and colors. The effect lasts for as long as they are breathing it in and results in a heightened sense of calm and happiness. With the nature of the haze, it tends to become mildly addicting and often lures people back sooner than they may intend. Intermingled with this smoke is often that of Tobacco and Opium indulged in by patrons.
