There are various methods of getting both people and goods from one place to another within Altera, be this over the seas, lands, or even air.

━━━━━━══][══━━━━━━

[ VEHICLES ]
Carts, wagons, and carriages are all viable methods of transport that are commonly used in Altera. Usually they connect one region to another and are pulled by horses or mules (though can be pulled by other animals if applicable).
No props are required for these, but keep in mind if you can own one in character with the wealth and access your character has.
[ ANIMALS ]
There are a variety of animals used in transporting people or goods within Altera. Horses, mules, donkeys and oxen are some of the more common for pulling carriages and wagons or even farm work, whilst horses are the usual go-to for single riders or couriers. It should be kept in mind that the stronger, faster, and often larger animals will be the more expensive ones.
Other animals less common but more suitable for other terrain are reindeer, for northern climates, and camels for the sandy dunes of the south.
No props are required for these, just keep in mind if your character could reasonably buy one and of what sort.
[ SEAFARING ]
Ship designs vary, whilst it is preferred to keep them smaller in size and based upon ships between early and late medieval ages, the aesthetics of renaissance or colonial era ships are permitted.
A prop is required for this, found via a shipwright, to represent your built vessel.
[ AIRSHIPS ]
The airship existed once long ago, before being lost to time. However scholars managed to re-create them on a smaller scale that have the ability to move smaller amounts of people or goods from place to place. These airships require skilled people to be able to navigate them, and they take a fair amount of time and resources to create, making them relatively rare.
Props are required for airships, and they are only available through certain factions. More information can be found [ here ].
[ MINECARTS ]
Primarily used to take goods from one location to another within a region, large expanses of rail is possible to allow large, metal carts to move along the tracks. Used in mining for the most part, though some have found use in connecting areas to warehouses and lumber yards for example. In some even rarer cases, they can be used to transport individuals, if they don't mind its relatively slow pace and lack of comfort.
No props are required for these, but rail should be placed roughly in game where they're meant to be.
[ OTHER ]
Cranes, lifts, pulleys, and other mechanisms that assist in moving goods (or individuals) are also possible to be found within Altera. So long as they keep to the fantasy-medieval themes and remain within the time period, they should be fine to use, but you can make a lore ticket on discord if you have queries on specifics. This is because there are a lot of mechanisms - if any specific examples emerge, we'll add them below.
It should be noted that pulleys, hinge, hidden mechanisms and so on can be represented in game by using redstone, though redstone itself is not an IC element of its own. Be this ways to open doors or secret compartments.
