planning to watch Lucky star and Fairy Tail; should I watch them Dubbed or subbed?

Definitely watch Fairy Tail subbed, although they did a good job with the dub, the sub I feel fit's more with the characters

That comment kind of go's with most anime as well. There are some that do really well with there dub, but that's because they've take years to get the right people. Even then, it sometimes doesn't work. One's that work are like Full Metal Alchemist (along with brotherhood) and Cowboy Bebop. Ones that don't work? Well....to many to list without having a seizure.

Well they can't always do it because of licensing sometimes or, with the case of Full Metal Alchemist, the show went faster then the books did in creation. That's why there is FMA Brotherhood now, so they could put the finished set of books into an Anime.

Edit: But seriously, even in the anime they said that there were only melee weapons used in the game.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the manga. It just had so many of those "What just happened?" moments.

I would make the point that all your "What just happened" moment is because it's a harem book with Magical girl influences. It's an interesting mixture.

I disagree about the harem part of your statement. I accepted most of the harem parts because generally they were never serious. Most of those "What just happened?" moments happened with plot twists that generally didn't involve the harem. Such as (Spoilers follow!: That weird guy that Mizore was engaged to that just randomly appears again as one of the main generals and suddenly he's a good guy) (spoilers over) I hope that gets explained later on.

So I'm between anime right now and want your opinions:

Should I watch Madoka Magica and Deadman Wonderland dubbed or subbed? Or not at all, even?

Never heard of the first one, but Deadman Wonderland could really go either way. Both are good VA's for the show in my opinion. The English VA's match the Japanese fairly well. But you want an opinion on wether or not it should be Sub or Dub, so I'll say this; If your watching a copy that you can have at home, do the dub so you can watch the show. If your watching online, do the sub because most of the parts will be really dark on computers for some reason.

Madoka Dub is pretty good, but I also liked the Sub.
When I last watched through it, I did a mix of Dub for some episodes and Sub for others
I haven't heard the Dub for D.W. so I can't really comment on it. Although the sub is pretty good.

Need season 3, NAO!!!!
....but it'll probably be a year's wait....
