You were added to 'Wary Of' because Therry was promised to be safe. She obviously was NOT safe, and therefore does not trust anyone who ever told he she was.

You have to look at it through Therry's perspective.

She has no family or true friends bar Robert and Tybalt, whom she rarely sees. Lydel is her first home, EVER, and she's been there for about two weeks. She was promised safety and companionship by many people, telling her that Lydel was the best place she could possibly be in.

Then Scardrac happened and scared the living crap out of her, so she became rather defensive and scared of everyone. Starting having doubts about Lydel, and heavily considering moving away and finding Tybalt so that she can defend herself.

Then Elmond happened. Nearly murdered her RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER HOUSE. The ONE place she was told was safe.

Top all that off with a bit of insanity and not being to able to remember who said what, or why, and she is not only very scared and confused, but also extremely doubtful and worrying about Pip is the LAST thing she should be doing.

Can someone please explain what happened while I was gone?

After Therry left the dinner, feeling rather distraught and depressed. Dax waited for her outside, saying that he was hired by Habin to be her protector. Therry doubted it at first, but gave in easily because of her mood. She explained her condition to him, and after they were done, Elmond waited in the middle of the town. She tried to talk to him, but Dax told her to just go home, and so she did, without saying another word. She went home, took a quick nap, and woke up and starting fishing.

After a few moments, Elmond appears next to her, leaping from the top of her house, landing with his sword thrust in the ground. Holy crap, Therry may have had a minor heart attack. Elmond interrogated her, asking her something about how she was being rude, and why she brushed his hand away from Dorothy. She had only met Dorothy once, and Elmond was not around. Frustrated at her stuttering and lack of response, he drew his sword up and brought it down. Pip pushed her out of the way into the river, and she swum to a lily pad after splashing about. She turned to see Elmond pulling Pip up by the hair, and Therry swam to the other side and ran. She didn't look back to see what happened.
