Metagaming is using OOC knowledge and translating it to your IC character without gaining that knowledge IC. Powergaming would be forcing your IC actions onto others without allowing them to respond.

I'm an old player back from 2014 and then came back for late 2016, I've had one hell of a journey though now curious about coming back to continue my characters story.

For many years after the fall of the Hound-Ru, Wayne abandoned civilisation. A banishment of his own doing to try and escape himself, of who he was, of what he was. He spent six years he spent in the wild. He inducted himself into a constant state of meditation, trying to find redemption.
Wayne awoke laying in his hammock, deep into the forests south of where Hound-Ru last stood, he estimated that three years have past since his departure from civilisation. Every morning he would pack his hammock back into his sack which would lay over his shoulder. He did not carry many things with him, mainly his old Engem engraved bow with his own crafted arrows which he wore both around his back, along with his bastard sword that he found not long after leaving, this he had tied to his back along with his bow, over the top off those three would be his poncho which he crafted himself using the pelt of a bear. Most of the time he would spend his days all the same; awake, pack, hunt, eat and finally meditate. Wayne found what he thought would be a perfect spot for him to meditate, a calm rainfall waterfall. Every day Wayne would recall his past, moment by moment, mistake by mistake. All the life's he'd taken all the people he'd hurt, every time Wayne would look back on himself, he would swear off killing, every time he swore that he would never draw his weapon again.
Though after six years in the wild, he would be forced to reconnect with civilisation from the Exodus of the old world, he had joined the Hawklight ship off to the new world. Wayne mostly kept to him self when it came to the group of people that he was travelling with, though as they arrived at the new world, Wayne found purpose, he would hunt for the newly formed Hawklight camp and help around where he could. Though one day he heard a scream in the forest near the camp while hunting, as he ran and found out what happened he came across a young girl with her mother in the forest, the girl had been bitten by a snake and had gained a harsh fever. Wayne quickly checked what the colour and pattern of the snake was before quickly disposing off it. Carrying the girl with the mother he rush back to the camp, laying the girl down on a table he tied a belt around her arm before sucking the venom and subsequently, the girls blood. Wayne was close to committing the biggest taboo in Engem culture, cannibalism, after he had saved the girls life he then began the process of purging himself, to do this he made himself violently vomit until he was completely sure there was not a trace of the girl's blood, Wayne, for the first time in six years, felt happy with himself. He finally had used his skills, even though it was contained the biggest taboo in his own culture, to help another, to save another.
And finally, he was happy with where his life was going.
Current Setting of the Server:
The last galleys pull into port upon Storm’s Landing, a trade town where crossroads and ships across the continent meet. To the East was the unknown seas and to the west, north and south were new civilizations, in a land of opportunity, vast and boundless.
Now, there is hope. Hope of a new chapter, a new beginning and a clean slate. Yet there is also fear. Fear of the land unknown, and the danger untold. There is fear that, in spreading the light, we draw the ire of what lies in the dark. In this land, it even seems as if demons and the explainable come out to play. Creatures of strange un-natural appearances prey on the confused wanderers.
But there is one thing for certain.. Life in Altera is a land of opportunities. Will you join in on the adventure?
