I beg to differ. I find Mirai Nikki much tamer when it came to the blood and gore.

While Elfen Lied just went overboard with it. They even went as far as killing a puppy. THEY KILLED A PUPPY!

I love how they're fine with showing you the aftermath of the puppy dying, but not showing the puppy's corpse.
