Metagaming is using oocing info ic, for example, if someone watched a scene ooc and used that info from that scene as their character then its meta and powergaming is roleplaying overpowered, creating really overpowered characters on purpose and declares something is successful without the other player having a chance to react.

Big DnD fan, currently DMing a campaign. Love critical role too. I'm studying at uni to be a quantity surveyor and have a doggo called Luna! I love anime too.

About Your Character!

Current Setting of the Server:
The lands of Altera have long been laced with upheaval, supernatural turmoil that would threaten to shatter the realm or tear it asunder. Long, have the peoples of Altera withstood these tribulations, overcoming and persevering through the generations. Only too recently, have they settled the ire of Titans and Gods. Though the days were dark and long, the realm did survive, through tenacity and reverence. The memories of their trials behind them still fresh, the realm sits in a state of unease and angst . . . with eyes on the horizon.
In the skies above, the stars flicker and burn across the auburn colors of the setting sun, streaks of color in the gathering dark. The Realm of Altera awaits . . .

502 days I was lost at sea, counted every day, engraved a tally on the side of a rock. Last survivor, we got demolished by some phantoms and undead. Not sure how I made it but I did. Hard getting fruits from trees when you're as short as me, so I lived on fish, not touching that stuff for a while now. Being alone for such a long time is strange, I suppose I was close to insanity. Took me a while to gain the skills to build a really crappy raft from the remains of our ship and somehow sailed up on shore not far from here completely bewildered and lost any social skills; I actually lived next to a small rock for a year just to avoid communicating with another, yet here I am, beer in hand in a tavern and chatting with you; it's funny how things change.
"How did they change? What happened"
A cleric. Older woman on her trail to gather ingredients. She crossed my path and I guess had a kind heart. She sat with me, aided me, brought me back to some kind of sanity and for a while I worked for her; gathered the resources for her potions and advertised her shop on the local streets. I guess going out to get those ingredients made a good little fighter because when she passed I began as a bounty hunter and I'd say I'm doing pretty well for myself. Surviving at least. I'll stay on this path a while as long as I get the work I suppose . Who knows where I'll end up, things happen for a reason I think. Maybe tomorrow I'll see a job notice and take it and get rich, maybe I'll be slain by a criminal. All about fate me thinks.
"Are you looking for bounties, right now?"
Yup. Not many people expect a halfling to complete bounties, I can look pretty innocent if I want to, take people by surprise, easy to hide in bushes too. Quick on my feet also! Not got any work as of now; Like I said, many people think a halfling can't complete a job, so if you know any jobs, I'm up for it. Good with a sword too.
"Well, I don't know any work as of now, but I'll keep an eye out and if I find you again and know of anything, I'll tell you."

About Your Character!
This section is about the character you intend to use once you join the server.We ask that new players follow these guidelines during this portion of the application:
- Characters begin with basic skills and gear. No advanced armor or weaponry. Skills and abilities are appropriate to a novice level. Skills should be learned through roleplay, not through backstory.
- Characters fit the lore. If you choose to play as a Moor Elf, for example, we expect appearance and details to be fitting with base lore.
- Characters cannot use magic in any way. The test itself should not mention magic either. HollowWorld uses a restricted magic system and it is only accessible to those who find and learn from a teacher in-game.
- Tests should not be violent. No murder, killing, death, torture. In the past, 8 out of 10 applications featured characters fighting off bandits or slaying passersby. We don't want to see how well you can script a fight scene. We want to see how well you can tell a story, how well you can roleplay.
- Be creative and be original. Do not use tests/characters whose home villages were burned, parents murdered, and then set off to be an orphan assassin. It has been done before. Please don't do it again.
- Written portion of the test is required to be a 400 word minimum. If the test doesn't meet the minimum, Staff may ask you to extend the test before the application is considered.
