As seasons change there can be an influx of insects, a swarm, triggered by the encroaching of summer weather. Whilst this is normal most years, this year seems to hold its own surprises. Spiders manage to find their way to the hotter regions, the colder ones, and everything in between and everywhere they can reach. Some, large as tarantulas, are being found lurking in the occasional boot. Another under the blankets at night. Most are small, all are generally harmless, though there have been reports of people getting bitten by poisonous arachnids and having to be rushed into clinics to tend to them.
These spiders are as common as flies, which some think upsets the balance of the natural world. More webbing appears overnight. Jishrim's tampering, they say, as these spiders are everywhere.

As with the last rumour, you are free to RP this how you like. There's a lot of spiders instead of say, lots of ladybugs, and they're weirdly resistant to their environments so everyone can partake in it. Just RP like there's a spider here, a spider there. A nuisance for most, maybe a business venture for others, some might be quite edible. You're welcome.
DMs may go a little crazy with big nasty spiders, naturally.
