Frostwarted Headmaster Kublai has had the need to send and receive letters. The birds work well, but only with towns he's already had previous contact with, since they only fly back to where they came from and nowhere else. Another downside of using postal birds is that they cannot carry packages or heavy items with them, let alone guard these items from possible theft.

Therefore, in his infinite wisdom, Kublai Kulligar has set up a small network of runners and has dubbed them the 'Frostwarted Postal Service'. The job of these runners is to accept and deliver packages, letters, and any odd item from one place to the next. Confidentiality is key! They are required to be both trustworthy and able with a weapon to ward off thugs. We assure that not even the worst of weathers will not stop these hardy brave people. You can recognize them by their blue-and-white attire and their formal Frostwarts badge.

Town-owners are encouraged to contact the FPS, so we may include your towns or kingdoms in our growing network. Should you as a citizen require the services of the FPS, do not hesitate to contact your landlord, king, or queen to enlist us on your behalf.

We safeguard packages and letters all across Altera, this is our task and duty.

How to send your letter:
Use the first page to write your own name and address. Use the second page to write the recipient's name and address. Use the third page to write down any packages included with the letter. Then use the rest of your pages to write the letter. FPS runners will not read beyond the first three pages, so make sure you include all necessary information in the first three pages and leave any of your correspondence out of the first three pages.

How to sign up your town to make use of the FPS:
Visit Kublai or send a letter (or leave a message in this thread)

Where to post your letter:
Currently, the only place to post letters is in:
- Frostwarts, Halbed.

Put your letter, formatted as above, into the deposit box inside any of the Frostwarted Postal Service establishments and an FPS-employee will take the letter to the FPS establishment within the town of the recipient.
(If there is no FPS in the town, it'll be done OOCly if we can).

There was the Altera Postal Service once and it was really fun, so I thought let's reintroduce it. But it's success, like always, is based off whether others will use it and enjoy it. I really hope to send people letters and suspicious packages from one place to the other and travel along between towns, maybe even do related events. Though there's so many people hosting events nowadays I might have to step away from hosting

To make this a functioning thing, I'm going to be contacting town owners if they have a place for the FPS within their town. There, all the townsfolk may put their letters for other towns and they may pick up letters sent to their town!

FPS Runners will manually turn on the lamps when there's post inbound in a town
