Metagaming is using knowledge you gained OOC and unfairly using it in roleplay. Powergaming is making your character act as if they have no flaws, are unbeatable or invincible.
6. Do we allow X-Raying mods or X-Ray texture packs on the server?

7. Tell us about yourself! Do you have any examples of your work?
Hello, I’m Grim! I’m an indigenous writer from Canada. I write psychological horror short stories for the most part, but I have recently started getting back into roleplaying. I used to play on a server that has been shut down for a year or so now, and I miss the medieval fantasy and the energy of roleplaying. I listen to every genre of music from lo-fi to heavy metal, and read everything from sci-fi to romance.
8. Did anyone refer you? If not, how did you find our server?
I did some digging on various websites trying to find a medieval roleplay server with the same depth and magic of the ones I used to roleplay on.

About Your Character!
Current Setting of the Server:
The lands of Altera have long been laced with upheaval, supernatural turmoil that would threaten to shatter the realm or tear it asunder. Long, have the peoples of Altera withstood these tribulations, overcoming and persevering through the generations. Only too recently, have they settled the ire of Titans and Gods. Though the days were dark and long, the realm did survive, through tenacity and reverence. The memories of their trials behind them still fresh, the realm sits in a state of unease and angst . . . with eyes on the horizon.
In the skies above, the stars flicker and burn across the auburn colors of the setting sun, streaks of color in the gathering dark. The Realm of Altera awaits . . .

Skiff is a 4’11 ball of fur and light, with blond hair, grey eyes and fair skin. His hair is a short pixie-like cut, and his fur is a soft chocolate colour, contrasting greatly with his complexion.

Soft light filtered through the forest leaves, a gentle midday shower dripping down from the tree canopy. Skiff’s nose twitched as a droplet of rain hit his face, and he grunted quietly.
“Wh- Awe, shizzle snits, it’s raining,” he muttered with a small pout. While the young Caparii loved the rain, he loved his afternoon naps more, and he absolutely did not want to wake up soggy and cold.
Skiff paused for a moment to enjoy the sensation of the rain trickling down against his cheeks, listening closely to the sounds of the pitter-patters and gentle breeze. It was almost meditative, being with nature like this. He could almost fall asleep just like this…
“No no no no no. I want to sleep under a warm blanket, and I can’t do that if I get back all drenched and wet,” he declared to himself, starting back toward the village from which he came.
12 years old and about as strong willed as a butterfly’s wing, Skiff was lucky to have come from such a loving family. Did it contribute to his sheltered view of the world? Sure, but he loved his parents and they did everything in their power to protect him from the things that could hurt him in life. He really was just a kind soul with a heart of gold and he deserved protection from the world at all costs.
As the young boy opened the door to his home, he could immediately smell the scent of apples and cinnamon. His heart skipped a beat and he squealed, pushing quickly through the door and almost bumping directly into his mother as she pulled a pie out of the center of her wood burning stove..
“Oh, Skiff! You’re home just in time, sweetheart. Come sit, have a slice and talk with me,” she spoke softly and with purposeful grace, as she always had. Skiff was ecstatic to have a slice of his favourite kind of pie, courtesy of his mother’s phenomenal baking skills.
“Okay, Mama! Thank you!” He said excitedly. “Where’s Dad? I thought he was coming home today?”
His mother’s face grew somber, and she sighed.
“Your father isn’t coming home today, sweetie. He was called to work abroad for another week. I’m sorry, bumpkin,” she admitted, an aura of sadness beginning to surround her.
Noticing her gloom, Skiff smiled softly and whispered, “It’ll be okay, Mama. He’ll come home! And until he does, we have each other, right?”
“Right,” his mother smiled back as she spoke, and though they finished their pie in silence, the bittersweet energy that hung in the air was not uncomfortable when Skiff finally went down for his nap.
