5. In your own words, how would you define metagaming and powergaming?
(It is important to understand what these terms are and why they are bannable offenses in any roleplaying community.)
From what I understand, Metagaming is mixing knowledge about what I as a person know vs. what my fictional character knows to my advantage. For example, if a friend and I were in a discord call together and they told me a person who is my enemy is at a certain location and then I use that to my advantage to go attack them.
Power gaming is forceful roleplaying. For example, knocking another player out and not giving them the opportunity to roleplay their response to that. This also applies to staying in the realistic boundaries of what your character can do.
6. Do we allow X-Raying mods or X-Ray texture packs on the server?
(This question goes for any method that can be used to unfairly find and mine ores.)
No, most server don't allow that anyhow.
7. Tell us about yourself! Do you have any examples of your work?
(Introduce yourself! Tell us some of your hobbies, what kind of music you like, other games you play, maybe any pets you have. We're not asking for anything too personal, but we would like to get to know you a bit better to help the application and transition. Hello, my name is Kyrsten, online though I go by Kaskia. I enjoy watching YouTube, mostly Pewdiepie, Jacksepticeye, CinnamonToastKen, and CaptainSparklez. I have 2 cats, one of which just had kittens I guess make that 4 cats XD! Unfortunately, I do not have a dog anymore. I will also be attending college in the fall and will be majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Journalism or Acting.

The lands of Altera have long been laced with upheaval, supernatural turmoil that would threaten to shatter the realm or tear it asunder. Long, have the peoples of Altera withstood these tribulations, overcoming and persevering through the generations. Only too recently, have they settled the ire of Titans and Gods. Though the days were dark and long, the realm did survive, through tenacity and reverence. The memories of their trials behind them still fresh, the realm sits in a state of unease and angst . . . with eyes on the horizon.
In the skies above, the stars flicker and burn across the auburn colors of the setting sun, streaks of color in the gathering dark. The Realm of Altera awaits . . .

Appearance:

HAIR: Mid length, curly brown hair.
Eye Color: Green
Skin color/ tone: White and incredibly pale.
Clothing: Grey undershirt with a dark brown corset. Over this drapes a long red cloak with a gold spot on the back. Gloves that come up the forearm, meeting the sleeve. Dark brown pants and high covering boots.

Kaskia stayed kneeled at her fathers urn, her body ached as she shifted on the cold ground. The only thing she found warmth in was the tears which ran down her pale cheeks.
Her father was her motivation, and she worked day and night to take care of him. He fell sick after the month of snow. She was shocked at this sudden sickness, her father had a strong immune system, he never got sick easily. This time was different.
Kaskia lifted her head to the ceiling, as if that would make the tears drain back from which they came… it didn’t work. She was used to death, that is all she has ever been surrounded with, why was this time so different? She thought after the festival she would have been fine, but she found out very soon that was not the case. A short dagger cloaked with dark red blood and a small velvet pouch lay next to his urn. The small dagger and the bag were for when they went hunting together, and in the month of light, they would take the small velvet bag and go just after dusk to collect the few berries that grew. She remembers all the times she walked next to him in search of any sort of sustenance. He often trailed off into his tall tales that she never believed were real but always listened with a nod and a soft smile. Kaskia didn’t only feel deep sorrow, but also a burning anger in her core. Maybe it was the way he never broke a promise, except for one. Maybe she was devastated about that promise being broke.
“He said he would be okay. He promised.”
In reality, they both knew in the back of their minds that he wouldn’t make it to see the month of light. His favorite month.
Kaskia stands and wipes the tears hastily away from her red cheeks and swollen eyes.
“I love you, Lukas. Goodbye father.”
As Kaskia goes to leave, she accidentally kicks the small bag. She was shocked to hear a metallic sound drag across the wooden planks. She kneels back down and unhinges the small bag to uncover an emerald ring and a note. Confused, she opens the note which reads:
“To Kaskia; My loving daughter,
Take this ring and protect it with your heart. It will protect you on the journey ahead. It was your mothers… I know you were too young to remember her when she passed, but she loved you dearly. I bought her this ring because it reminded me of her emerald green eyes that I fell in love with. You grew up with her eyes… both of you mean the world to me. I'm sorry I never got to say goodbye… perhaps in a different life.
Farewell Kaskia.
With love, your father.
P.S. I am very proud of the young women you have grown into.”
Without hesitation, Kaskia slipped the ring on her finger and hugged it. The last thing of her mothers, and a great memory of her fathers. Tears rolled down and onto her hand and ring.
