Letter to the Silver Council

Baron

Sovereign
Retired Staff
[The letter is sealed with emerald green ink, the sigil of House Polvur stamped on it. Inside, in an impeccably neat hand, as if printed by a machine excellent at cursive, is a message to the Silver Council.]

Good day,

News recently arrived of this Council's plan to erect one or more walls in defense of Port Silver and the Port Silver region. It finds this idea to be self-defeating on the basis that walls will simply be pushed back over time, and defenses will crumble unless given sufficient reprieve, which is no guarantee against the corruption. Therefore, it suggests an alternative plan - the construction of a series of "hunter" automatons/golems designed to resist and attack corruption, driving it back. Fighting back against the corruption was extremely effective during Queen Leminth's reign and the Exodus campaign, and it believes creating a force designed specifically to fight the corruption is the best course of action.

Of course, these hunter golems can be deployed alongside the defensive walls and serve as a vanguard force, preserving valuable lives and giving breathing room to repair the walls after an incursion by the enemy. In that same line of thinking, golems can be created to serve in support roles: wall construction, repair, and maintenance as well as guarding high-value areas, and as beasts of burden.

It hopes the Silver Council will consider this idea's merits.

Best Regards,

Vorar Elem-Polvur, Lord of The Continuity of Vera
