Login Timing Out? Or Is It Just Me?

Roughly around 12:00 I was kicked from the server ( 20/02/2014)
Ever since it times out on the login screen, and shows the message
Java.net.ConnectionException: Connection Timed Out: no further information. minecraft.worldofaltera.co.uk/198.178.120.144:25565
I can see people are on the server and I'm curious to see if this is only happening to me. I have deleted all my minecraft files and re-installed them, and still not luck.
If anyone can help me with this or has experience with the same problem please tell me.
