I have been playing Minecraft since about 2013-2014ish. I have depression and slight PTSD. This is a warning if I fly off the rails for no reason. I usually don't but it does happen very rarely. I like to bake bread.

About Your Character!
This section is about the character you intend to use once you join the server. We ask that new players follow these guidelines during this portion of the application:
Current Setting of the Server:
The lands of Altera have long been laced with upheaval, supernatural turmoil that would threaten to shatter the realm or tear it asunder. Long, have the peoples of Altera withstood these tribulations, overcoming and persevering through the generations. Only too recently, have they settled the ire of Titans and Gods. Though the days were dark and long, the realm did survive, through tenacity and reverence. The memories of their trials behind them still fresh, the realm sits in a state of unease and angst . . . with eyes on the horizon.
In the skies above, the stars flicker and burn across the auburn colors of the setting sun, streaks of color in the gathering dark. The Realm of Altera awaits . . .

Born on the edge of a small Grove, Vulmon was part of a small family. He started life with nothing to distinguish him from other elves. That is, until his family was forced out by the other Grove members. His father had taken some carrots from the oldest elf’s little garden. This wasn’t the first time it had happened. The family had a not insubstantial amount of adversity when they moved to a new Grove. Vulmon, as the son of an outcast, was not welcome at any place in the Grove. Thus, he was always out hunting or foraging and never had any friends. This made him into an adept archer. As a side effect of never having friends, he has a hard time trusting anyone.
During hunting and foraging, he would sometimes be gone for weeks on end. This made him very independent. His years of hunting and foraging gave him the skill to remain unseen. Also, during this time, he learned how to use his knife to defend himself from dangerous animals. He became a skilled forester because of what he went through with being an outcast.
One thing that he missed in the Grove, was learning about the history of Altera. History and Magic had always fascinated him but he never got to learn anything about it besides the little tidbits he heard here and there. History had only interested him. Magic scared him yet he was always fascinated by it. He would always yearn to learn more about these subjects.
After a few years of living as an outcast, Vulmon decided to make an unprecedented move. He was going to go out into the wild to explore and learn. Other elves from the Grove had done this, but most had come back within the month. Vulmon didn’t plan to come back. He was going out into the world forever. After saying goodbye to his mother, as his father had died during a hunting incident earlier that year, and set off.
His first stop was Storm’s Landing. As he travelled, he ran into new places and people. Vulmon had never seen outside the forest before. He was now traveling across plains, mountains, and oceans to explore the world. He took delight in everything he learned and was loving the exploration. That was, until he learned that not everything was rainbows and roses. He was robbed while he slept. He was distraught when he woke up and vowed to never be taken advantage of again. As Storm’s Landing was only a half-day walk away, he decided to start there anew. Who knows what the future will hold?

About Your Character!
This section is about the character you intend to use once you join the server. We ask that new players follow these guidelines during this portion of the application:
- Characters begin with basic skills and gear. No advanced armor or weaponry. Skills and abilities are appropriate to a novice level. Skills should be learned through roleplay, not through backstory.
- Characters fit the lore. If you choose to play as a Moor Elf, for example, we expect appearance and details to be fitting with base lore.
- Characters cannot use magic in any way. The test itself should not mention magic either. HollowWorld uses a restricted magic system and it is only accessible to those who find and learn from a teacher in-game.
- Tests should not be violent. No murder, killing, death, torture. In the past, 8 out of 10 applications featured characters fighting off bandits or slaying passersby. We don't want to see how well you can script a fight scene. We want to see how well you can tell a story, how well you can roleplay.
- Be creative and be original. Do not use tests/characters whose home villages were burned, parents murdered, and then set off to be an orphan assassin. It has been done before. Please don't do it again.
- Written portion of the test is required to be a 400 word minimum. If the test doesn't meet the minimum, Staff may ask you to extend the test before the application is considered.
