KNACK:
Abyssal markings and phrases of Infernal occasionally move slowly under her skin, drifting from her brand or forming new designs entirely, but always fading away before long. When in darker areas, small flecks of softly glowing teal, blue or white light can appear around or on her person, akin to stars in the night sky. This same soft light becomes present when she casts spells, in the veins of her hands and arms to varying degrees. Stronger spells pull the glow further up the arms, as well as an uncomfortable heat that over longer periods of spellcasting can make her feverish enough she hallucinates shimmering figures that resemble Dranoden or twisting dark roots. Additionally, Infernal whispers can be heard by her and those in whisper range on occasion during spellcasting, reminding her of her obligations to the Night Star.
Living Thread: She seems to pull thread from somewhere within reach of her hands, materialising out of the air as a thread of flickering teal or white hues. If dismissed, it floats aimlessly for a moment before fading away entirely.
CORRUPTED CORE
Melarue finds her heart has seemingly been replaced with one formed of demonic energies, with it glowing a soft teal beneath the skin. The heart is unnatural, if anyone were to find a way to view it the organ would appear to be teal and crystalline. In times of intense emotion or in places linked to demonic influences, Melarue will find herself deviating to a more cruel and vindictive nature, giving in to her base desires. Proximity to Volatile Obsidian will cause Melarue chest pains; Volatile Obsidian within one meter of her will slowly weaken her and make her lightheaded. If she is exposed within one meter to Volatile Obsidian for one consecutive minute (6 turns), she will enter a coma-like state. She will remain in this state so long as the Volatile Obsidian is within one meter of her. Once it is removed from her vicinity she will awaken as normal after one IC hour.
