The Incunabula - a Demonic golem wrought of netherrack, gold and magma - made a deal with the Bandit Lord Deadpress to set up an ambush and kill Zran.

Why does the Incunabula want Zran's head? Because Zran is believed to be the only person who can take it out of existence for good. Zran created it - although on accident, technically - so only Zran can trap its spirit. This is because of Destiny.

Destiny is a universal force that ultimately has the final say in all forks in the road. It is influenced greatly by factors that bend the future, such as the opinions of a person, but it bends and decides what the final decision is. If someone is split between two decisions and can't decide, Destiny chooses which one. In this case, Destiny has created a vow because of the Demon posessing the Incunabula. In the past, the Incunabula posessed Zran's mother and forced her to kill Zran's younger brother. Because of this, Zran's father had no choice but to kill the mother, so the Demon claimed two members of the Corj family line. Years later, Zran's father is still tormented by killing his wife. He knew what happened when he looked into the eyes of the Enderman. Thus only Zran remains. At this point in time, Destiny has made it so that if anybody kills the Incunabula other than Zran, it will return somehow in the future inevitably and inavoidably. And in turn, if anybody besides the Incunabula kills Zran, Zran will return. What the Incunabula fails to realize is that after he kills Zran, this connection is broken, and anybody can take him out of existence permanently.

Why does Deadpress want Zran's head? Because of his own foolish decision. Some time earlier, Zran was investigating an incident in which Protaras's ale was poisoned with an ancient Demonic Plague. Deadpress and Tchel decided to interfere with a fib that Tchel had stolen the horns of the Dark Wizard Alec - whom created the plague - and had put them into the ale. This led ultimately to Zran's leaving of Protaras and breaking of loyalty to Dead, and in turn to his confessing this to the Council in Stormhold. After some time, Tchel and Dead blamed the mess on Zran - when in fact they had made the foolish decision to interfere with Zran's investigation - and vowed to kill him. So Bellon - praise the gods for him - arranged a deal in which Zran held his silence about the Plague and never spoke of it again, and in turn they spared his life. The deal was confirmed, and Zran held his silence and was spared.

Now, just a few weeks ago, the Incunabula - whom received all of Zran's memory up to the point of its creation at the time of the latter - decided to strike a deal with Dead, which involved him breaking his deal. Dead and all his colleagues that he chose would help the Incunabula capture Zran. Once this happened, they could do whatever they wanted, beat him up however badly they wished, so long as the Incunabula dealt the final blow and he could not be returned to existence. They arranged it to happen in the Southern Wilds.

Zran came through the portal and chased the Incunabula right into a ring of attackers - the thing itself, Deadpress, Keros, (SpiritualDetox), and Tchel - and didn't dare attack. He knew three of his opponents were deadly, and the other two he didn't want to take a chance with. Then, Tchel decided to do it all on her own. She struck Zran three times with her sword, which set the gaping wounds on fire, and killed Zran. The Incunabula was enraged, and now wants Dead and Tchel's heads.

A week or so later, Sera - a close friend of Zran - was informed by Zran's spirit that he had been killed. Sera told him she could revive him, and Zran guided her to his body, which miraculously hadn't been touched and still lay in the jungle in the Wilds. They took the body back to Zran's house, where Sera summoned two Life Fairies to help her, and they revived him.

Now, Zran wants revenge on Dead. Zran had not spoken of the Plague, and yet he could think of no other reason why Dead would kill him. Dead had broken the deal. Dead and Tchel were fools not to let the Incunabula deal the final blow, because now they have to deal with Zran again.

I have a feeling Zran has just made his first two mortal enemies.
Name: Zraneth Corj
Nickname/Alias: Zran
Age: 33
Gender: Male
Race: Zonerulean Elf
Height: 6' 7" (2 m)
Weight: 146 lbs. (66.2 kg)
Hair: Blond
Eyes: Green
Skin: Tan, a bit more pale than he was previously as an Elf.
Identifying Marks: One eye is slightly darker than the other.
Appearance: Wears a traditional blue Zonerule-Elven Psyker robe trimmed in grey/silver. A grey cape trails behind. Face has a rather long appearance.
Strengths: Very powerful when it comes to the spirit and mind. Also, very agile, and sharp senses. Aware of what is happening in surroundings. Magic is light magic, meaning it is effective against Demons, but nothing else. Magic can only be used when contacting the subject, and has no range. It can also be calming to non-Demonic creatures. Also, has a set of kineblades - the weapons of a Telekine, these are blades laced with a telekinetically sensitive blue mineral that connects them to the wielders mind - that he can levitate and maneuver with his mind. These blades have no handles, so only he can use them effectively without cutting himself up. The closer they are, the stronger the connection, and in turn the greater the accuracy and control.
Weaknesses and fears: Emotion runs deep in race; rather easily provoked as a result. Also, fear of Endermen and all creatures affiliated with them. A fair fear of Demons has also developed after learning the truth of his parents and brother. Also, when he became a Telekine, he gained more psychic powers advancing down the path of the Psyker, but sacrificed his skill with the sword and bow, so taking away his kineblades leaves him with only his fists, feet and wits. He cannot use a sword beyond very basic maneuvers, and has poor aim with the bow. Lastly, after a certain range, he cannot effectively maneuver and control his kineblades. He also can't use them if he doesn't know their location, since he can't reach them with his mind.
Profession: No official profession. Can be helpful all-around.

Who's Basil?

That's exactly what the Incunabula tried with Deadpress. It didn't work out for him.

Besides, Zran has already destroyed the Incunabula.:p

Nevermind, then since the thingy-mah-joger has been dealt with. But Basil is my current character, he is the Keeper of the Royal Dungeons in Tauredal. The dungeons are by far the most brutal, cruel... Evil dungeons you will ever find. And Basil is heartless with few morals, which means he wouldn't really care who Zhan was since he does not know Zhan.
