Vorar gazed over the latest reports. War and demons, planar incursions and fragmented nations. Altera, since the dissolution of the Silver Throne, had become a nation divided. Houses fought each other, while their lands rotted beneath them at the presence of monsters and magic. And the gods themselves, despite their oath to take no part in affairs, were influencing the world once more by giving powers to their most devout worshippers - those who refused to recognize the flaws of the divine.
Clearly, extreme action must be taken. Altera could not care for itself with observation and the subtle, guiding hand any longer.
Vorar stood from its desk, and went to the forge. There, it undertook its work. One hour, five, ten, twenty. For one week, Vorar worked uninterrupted, taking no pause. Its labors rang loudly through the empty castle at Lake Vera. And then, at the end of the week, it took its creations to the Great Hall.
Vorar looked upon its grandest work. Intricate platinum patterning, thousands of embedded gems, and a reinforced, indestructible iron body. The Emerald Throne. The new seat of power in Altera.
Vorar took its seat upon the throne, and looked out into the world. Time to plan, and then... time to conquer.
The current order of Altera is unsustainable. War rages, people die, and the planar realm seeps into our own. There is no place for instability, for division, for ill motives. Altera must unite, and I will unite it.
Swear fealty and service to the Emerald Throne and the Sovereign Authority, and your lands and line will be spared, and richly rewarded with new wealth, new opportunities, and a place of honor and strength in the new world order.
Fight the cause of the Sovereign Authority, and you will be excluded from the unity of the myriad legion of the wise. Your resistance against peace, against safety, will not be forgotten.

Campaign: The Emerald Throne
Vorar has decided that its life of peaceful crafting and silent leadership is no longer enough. Altera needs a leader, and none have more experience and knowledge than Vorar. None can lead with the soft touch or the iron gauntlet as Vorar can. And most importantly, Vorar's immortality gives it the ability, the right, and the duty to serve as Sovereign Authority of Altera. Forever.
Event I: Fealty
Letters go out to every noble house, every kingdom, and every person of importance. The letters are sealed with an emerald-green ink, upon which is a novel sigil: a golden gear encompassing a crowned flame. Each letter contains identical contents:

It's been too long without a grand campaign. One can side with Vorar or against Vorar. Victory, inevitable as it is, means that Altera will be reunited under a recognized ruler with absolute power and authority, the experience of the Silver Throne, knowledge of its mistakes, and the wisdom to guide the world into the future. The glory days will return. Get on board, because the conquest train is an unstoppable force.
