Part 9 - A Request and a Plot​

There she was. Pathetically sitting in a dark cave she carved out under a pond in Protaras. She was lucky to had gotten through the exodus portal at all without being seen, let alone crawl to this dump. Her magic had regained it's strength after her rampage with her powerful magic hammer and precious magic-boosting spell which took the form of an egg. After it imploded, a magical shockwave had weakened her for a time being. But now she was back except without a base of operations. That fool angel took her magic hammer and she intended to get it back... somehow. Suddenly, a gust of wind and a popping sound nearly erupted her sensitive ears. After she opened her eyes from squeezing them shut with pain, a bright light burned her eyes after being adjusted to the dark cave.
"Hello Nimue." a familiar voice spoke, the tone sounded like greeting an old friend.
" -hisssssssssss- Who are you..?" She slowly spoke as it dawned on her, "You fool! You ruined everything!" She nearly pounced on him, with claws at the ready, but she stopped mid-air, and was held there. The light on his staff still burned her eyes.
"I have a request for you. Be a teacher at the University. You have massive experience in magic, and this is a chance to redeem yourself after what you've done to the people of Altera. This is a great opportunity. Unless, you want to... stay here.." He looked around and gave a sarcastic smile.
He had a point. This isn't how a powerful mermaid sorceress should live. Rotting in a cramped cave when she could be the most powerful being in the world! ...Plus it would get her closer to the angel who took her ancient artifact, the Hammer of Korigon.
"You would have me teaching land-dwellers magic?," She spoke seductively with a wicked twist in her tone, "They are probably too stupid to learn, but it would be my pleasure to assist..."
The old man sniffed at her words, but gave a slight hard nod. "Well my dear, I'll send for you with the plannings and such. You'll need to meet the other professors as well and get caught up on the going ons."
With a knock of his staff on the cold stone, Bellon vanished in thin air with a loud popping sound.
Bewpy started to laugh with an evil cackle. The fools. She would get her hammer and rise to power once more. This time, she wouldn't lose.

If you've never seen this movie before, I highly suggest you watch it. I based Nimue off of Eris from this movie. I imagine Nimue's personality and magic to be similar to Eris'.
