What a good idea. I remember when I was a newb (funny thing is I'm one of the few that never made a whitelist app, I got in during an open period. I will fill one out if an admin wants ) and I was totally lost, now I already knew which town I wanted to be in because alpha had showed me this server on his laptop and I was amazed by his city ( well hamlet) ravens nest. I spent days ( real life days not minecraft days) before finally managing to settle in. The community was nice, but the dynamic map was my true friend (it actually helps me even today) and really helped me get to know the lay of the land. For anybody who can't find the dynamic map it's in "everything you need to know" then click the link (alternatively here's the link: http://minecraft.hollowworld.co.uk:8123/ ) happy role playing and welcome to altera.

Very good, should consider moving it to the Wiki, maybe just do the rest there so you don't have to keep making new posts to get in new pictures.

Then this guide, or at least part of it, becomes obsolete. But that's life...
