Hollow World is a Mature, Medieval Fantasy Roleplay server. Our world and lore take inspiration from Medieval Fantasy settings such as Lord of the Rings, Games of Thrones and The Elder Scrolls. Our community values aesthetics and adventure, things that shatter immersion violently are avoided. First, your name and skin. If your name is Cat_Rapist_69 and you wear a blue creeper skin at all times, it ruins the illusion that we are exploring and building together as pilgrims in an unknown world. If you constantly demand that we materialise blocks and teleport you wherever you want to go - once again, this destroys the metaphor of the game and is frowned upon. Hollow World is about discovering the world and staking out a place in it, not subjugating nature to our demands. Our monuments stand as achievements in a natural world , not as transformative elements in making nature our tool. Notch has created a terrain generator that provides wonder before gameplay. As such, any actions that are either malevolent or negligent which decimate the terrain and its appearance will not be allowed.
On Hollow World, Players are given a unique opportunity not found on many other servers, to create events and movements that inspire change. We wholeheartedly welcome and encourage this so long as it fits into the lore. Groups and individuals should feel open to try and come up with these events and help shape the world of Altera through them. Staff does this as well with larger server events that help progress the story further.
Other information
Absence thread: It's important to let friends or town members know you will be away in case of planned events or town construction. Fellow Roleplayers worry if their friends disappear without notice.
