Character help?

I used to RP as an angel, but I want to RP as something else.
I was thinking an enchantress or sorceress. Or should I stick with an angel, as no one is really one of those. I just need help. :c

Wouldnt everyone who knows you have to 'forget' you. Or could you work it into your story that you decided to lose your angelic powers and become mortal?
