DIVINE TIERS GUIDELINE

This thread outlines the criteria to achieve Blessed status, and each of its tiers. As a note however, these are strictly guidelines, and not every individual will follow the same path.

NOTE: Please request a review of your profile when you believe you are ready for a rank-up; you can check here for information: [ x ]

---

In cases of 'notable acts', or 'conversations about faith', these examples should be logged in your divine profiles/threads as to be referenced when you apply for a rank up. There must be evidence of their occurrence.

Offerings should be left in chests or item frames that staff are able to access, with coordinates included on the rank-up application. They will either remain there or be collected by Divine staff on rank-up. You must have an item in game for the offering to count towards blessing. Hoppers for each god are available in the shrines of the Grand Cathedral in Storm's Landing, and are available for both IC offerings and OOC "drop boxes" for offerings made elsewhere.

All deeds listed in the rank-up application must have been performed/attained after the last rank-up was approved. Overlapping events will not count.

Summary:
Acts, deeds, and requirements are split into three categories. Notable deeds do not count towards rank-up officially, but can help give staff an idea of what your character focuses on. Stand-out notable deeds can help lean an application over the line if we are struggling to make a decision. Prominent deeds count towards rank-up, and some are required to be performed at some point during the character's journey. Exalted deeds are difficult or extra noteworthy acts that weigh more than prominent deeds typically do.

Character who are Infernal or Abyssal cannot be Blessed at the same time. Previously Blessed characters who became Infernal or Abyssal and subsequently exorcised do not immediately regain their rank. If you seek to regain your character's tier, please open a Divine Ticket on Discord so that we may come up with a quest for your character to regain their previous rank.

Notable Deeds:
Do not count individually for progression, but may make up the difference for weaker prominent deeds at divine team’s discretion. These acts may either be less impactful, lower risk, or count towards a rank-up in a different system.
  • Teach another character something about something relevant to your character’s faith
  • Have a conversation about your character’s faith
  • Successfully perform an exorcism on an infernal character
  • Convert a character to vyrism (Skraag)

Prominent Deeds:
  • Host an event directly related to your character’s faith (repeatable)
  • Host a sermon in worship of your character's god (repeatable up to 4x, count as two prominent deeds)
  • Attend an event directly related to your character’s faith (repeatable)
  • Convert someone to your character's faith (repeatable)
  • Baptize someone into your character's faith (repeatable, can overlap individuals with the conversion deed)
  • Personally accomplish a significant achievement that God would be impressed by (repeatable)
  • Significantly aid a character cursed by your character’s patron in earning its removal (repeatable)
  • Make a significant personal sacrifice to keep true to your character’s patron’s values (repeatable)
  • Successfully perform an exorcism on an abyssal character (repeatable)
  • Perform a soft-cure ritual for vyrism (repeatable, Ignis and The Grey Lady)
  • Fully cure someone of vyrism (repeatable, deities that dislike Skraag, cannot overlap with soft-cured characters)
  • Become a vyre (once, Skraag)
  • Create or join an active cult dedicated to your character’s patron (once)
  • Establish a prominent shrine dedicated to your character's patron (once)
  • Describe a meaningful ritual or practice that your character demonstrates their faith by (once)
  • Make a meaningful material offering to your character’s patron (once)
Exalted Deeds:
Count as three Prominent Deeds
  • Guide another character into achieving Blessed status with your character’s patron (repeatable)
  • Participate in defeating a powerful being your character's patron opposes (repeatable)
