Oh yea...you're an island city...all your ships are gonna sink...
Luckily there's a nice narrow seaneck between Port Silver and our islands. And miles of water... besides, the sea level at our place would rise, so the ships would rise. Then the water is pulled away (towards Port Silver), lowering our sea level, worst that'd happen is ships sitting on the seafloor...
