Can encompass many things, like trying to use advanced physics knowledge in rp, or simply hearing two people talk oocly and then acting as if your character had actually heard those things. Powergaming - The use of unrealistic/overpowered actions that are unearned or simply unfeasible. Attempting to force an action onto another player such as *I cut off your hand* instead of *I swing for your wrist* is the simplest example. Dodging every attack, being able to overpower any foe, etc., are other examples. Do we allow Xray mods or X-Ray texture packs?: No Tell us about yourself!: Hey, I'm a 26 year old struggling post-college student who is attempting to find my way in a covid world, but hey, that's a lot of people right now! Been doing minecraft rp for... something like 12 years at this point, and am just really involved in rpgs in general. I'm actually trying to break into the TTRPG dev space, had an interview at a cool company recently, but that seems to have stalled out. So, time to start jumping into designing my own rpg supplements, etc., in order to build up my portfolio! Besides the whole having to manage my own time thing, which will be miserable, I'm honestly really looking forward to diving into the process and making my own things. Referral: Passencore ________________________________________ {Character Section} Character Name: Eirlys Age: 29 Race: Silver Elf Appearance: Eirlys is 6'1 (A little tall for a silver elf woman, but hopefully that's fine?) with the standard pale skin of a silver elf, although sun-darkened enough to earn her constant criticism from her mother growing up. Her eyes are a fairly pure, striking silver. Her hair is naturally a light brown, but she religiously bleaches and dyes it various colors, currently having settled on a lighter blue color. (I realize that hair dyes might be frowned upon for use in character, or seen as a modern creation, especially colored hair dyes. I've done a bit of research, and it appears that the indigo plant can be used to create a light blue color in blonde/bleached hair, and has been used as a natural hair dye to darken black hair for centuries. However, if it's still decided that you would prefer I avoid dyed hair, no worries, just let me know and I'll change it to silver/light brown within the Silver elf ranges). On her upper body she wears a shirt with open shoulders, color tbd as I make the skin. She wears black, fingerless gloves on her hands, tough, canvas pants, and heavy brown traveling boots on her feet. (Optional) Picture of the Skin: This is an early version of the skin, in order to show the hair color I am currently aiming for. Still some details to be added such as elven ears, and shirt color to be tinkered with, but it gives the general vibes!  Written Test (Min: 400 words): Eirlys propped her feet up on the empty tavern chair with a grin, raising an eyebrow at the young man sitting across from her. “Hmm, you want to know about me? Seems like an awfully boring subject. I’m sure this… charming little village is much more exciting than I could ever be.” She snickers softly as she shoots him a wink, reaching out to grab ahold of her drink, glancing skeptically down at it before shrugging. It probably wouldn’t be the worst drink she had ever tasted. The young, boring village kid who thought he was far more intriguing than the reality scoffed into his drink. “You’re kidding, right? Sure, we get travelers here, but not many who look like you- no offense. Aren’t you silver elves supposed to be more, I don’t know, stuffy?” She narrowed her silver eyes a moment, anger flickering over her face, the young man’s face paling slightly- and she breaks, unable to hold the expression as she breaks into a slight snicker. “I mean, yeah, I’m supposed to be, I just put way too much effort into being as disappointing as possible, I guess.” “Oh? So what happened. You get kicked out of home, run away? Come on, there has to be a story there.” Eirlys shrugged, her brain beginning to spin up the best story she could to hook this young idiot. Humans typically let her get away with so much that she had trouble reigning herself into the land of the believable. Hmm, oh, that one isn’t too outlandish, at least for someone like him who wanted to believe his life was destined for things more exciting than this small village. “Hmm, well I suppose there’s no harm in telling you now that I’m so far away from the city… I used to be a thief. Not that I needed to or anything” - he waves a hand dismissively- “I just always found it fun.” The man’s eyes sparkled, already hooked, even as he said incredulously, “A thief? Sounds a little bit… I don’t know. Silver elves like magic, right, wouldn’t they just catch you?” Her eyes rolled into the back of her skull as Eilrys took another sip of her drink. Oh gods, yep, still bad. “Magic can’t do everything. Besides, I was taught by one of the best, so I knew how to avoid the most common things I might encounter.” “Taught? Like, by what a thief mentor?” The man scoffed in disbelief, but still, he shot her a glance, waiting for her to prove him wrong. “Hmm? Oh, yeah. Kinda how I got into the whole thing. I liked to climb on the roof as a child, and one time I spotted someone running across the rooftops, so I followed. Accidentally got pulled into a heist on a minor noble because of that.” She chuckles softly. “Good times.” The young buck’s eyes glimmered, and he leaned forward a bit, his drink forgotten. When he realized Eirlys wasn’t going to say anything more, he blinked a few times. “...and? What happened?” “Hmm?” Eirlys blinks a few times, the corner of her lip curling into a smile. “What happened with what?” “Oh come on. With the heist! There’s no way that isn’t a good story.” “Oh, it is~” Her silvered eyes narrow, and she sits herself up, setting her empty drink on the table. It was too easy, really, gods this would be a fun one to make up. “Maybe I’ll even tell you, if you buy me a meal and a bottle of wine- you guys do have wine that isn’t horrid in this village, right?” –Scene–- |
